Pick watched as Rome walked away with an arm around Emma. The shorty shot one last glare back at them before they turned the corner and were out of sight.
“What was up with you accusing Emma of running over a dog on purpose?” Pick turned and looked at Porsche.
“It just slipped out!” Porsche said defensively. “I admit it was not the right thing to say and now Emma is upset and Rome hates us.”
“Your fault.” Pick said.
“Let’s head to the club room.” Porsche said and walked away.
Pick didn’t speak as they walked and instead let Porsche think the entire way to the club room. He was clearly having a lot of thoughts because he kept making faces and sighing every few seconds.
“There’s a lot of stuff here.” Pick said as they entered the club room and he looked around. “How are we going to get rid of everything and what are we going to do with the things we can’t get rid off?”
Porsche didn’t say anything but opened a locker and started taking everything out.
“Who said we need to start clearing things out?” Porsche asked. “We just need to clear two lockers out to make room for our two new members. Do you really think I'd give up so easily because of what happened? I’ll do everything to convince Emma to join our club.”
“What makes you so confident she’ll join?” Pick asked with a raised eyebrow as he watched Porsche grab a name tag and write Emma’s name on it.
“Because I’m not giving up.” Porsche said as he placed Emma’s name tag on the locker he’d cleared. “And I’m sure you don’t want to give up on getting Rome to join as well. From what I saw you seemed pretty interested in him joining the club as well.” He handed Pick a name tag and marker with a smirk.
Pick couldn’t deny that he’d been interested in Emma’s friend, Rome, joining the club as well. He didn’t know why but his interest and curiosity had been piqued by what he saw of Rome today. He seemed like a pushover at first glance and Pick had been convinced he was until the very end when Porsche had accused Emma of running over the dog on purpose. Pick had watched as Rome’s soft features had turned into a glare and he’d then told Porsche and him off for following him and Emma the previous day and today. Clearly he wasn’t scared of speaking his mind and standing up for himself and people close to him when it came too and for some reason that made Pick curious to know more about the shorty.
Pick took the name tag and marker and wrote Rome’s name on it. He cleared the locker next to his and placed Rome’s name tag on it. He then turned and saw Porsche looking at him with a smirk.
“Shut up.” Pick said. “Let’s go. We’ll be late to class if we don’t hurry.”
Pick didn’t wait for Porsche and headed out of the club room and in the direction of their next class.
The rest of the week continued like usual except Porsche kept trying to think of a plan to convince Emma to join the club. All his plans sounded impossible or stupid, which Pick made sure to let him know.
By Friday it was clear Porsche didn’t know what to do exactly to convince Emma to join the club.
Pick found him sitting outside their club on Friday afternoon with his head down on the table.
“Hey!” Pick called as he approached him. “Hey! Ai’Porsche where have you been? You missed our morning class and you don’t answer my messages!”
