The New Year

The Reception

During the reception I walked over to the lovely bride and broom on Dre's arm to of course congratulate them. As we approached them I saw the look on Yanna's face drop. 

"Hey love birds!" I said to them.

"Oh my gosh Jewel you made it!" Adam said giving my a big hug.

"Yea, Dondre actually invited me to come along with him." I said clasping my hand into his. 

"Dre I didn't know you even knew Jewel." Adam said looking to Dondre with confusion.

"Yea we have history."

"Adam I didn't know you knew Jewel." Yanna said with her voice shaking.

"You know Jewel Yanna?" Adam asked even more confused.

Ahh shit! I think it's best I say nothing.

"Yea, I met her once when I went out with some friends." she covered up.

I laughed and just decided to pull her aside.

"Well gentlemen can us lovely ladies have a moment to talk. And I promise Adam I won't keep her away from you too long."  as I said that I grabbed her hand and we walked over to the side.

"Jewel please don't tell Angel." she started off

"Oh honey I will. I just wanted to let you know that I was going to tell her and i already took pictures of the big kiss just in case you try to lie about later." 

"Jewel please dont.."

"Yanna I don't like you ! Why would I cover for you?"

"I'm going to tell her I promise. I just want to be the one to do it." and before I could say anything back to her of course they were calling the bride to take pictures.

Leaving the wedding I had so much on my mind. I really didn't know how to tell Angel and 
I guess my face said it all because Dondre questioned me about what was on my mind. So I told him. Now he was debating on whether he should tell Adam or not. This just turned into one big mess. 

I texted Angel to ask if I could come over. She replied yea so I had Dre drop me off there. I'm so stuck I don't know how to tell her.

When I walked in her house she was filled with excitement to see me. 

"Where is Yanna? You sure she doesn't have a problem with me being here?" I asked.

"She on a business trip for 3 weeks." 

That lying hoe. I thought to myself. Without hesitation I changed the subject. That night we just hung out and watch movies until 4 in the morning. I ended up spending the night over her house and I actually enjoyed the time we spent together.It was like old times all over again. 

I decided not tell her. Not tonight at least....

 Sorry it's been so long!
