The New Year

Ahhh Sh**!

After Jay left this morning, I showered and got dressed. I was going to got to visit my friend Angel. We are closer than most people think. Angel had a gilfriend named Yanna. They are cute, but Yanna doesn't like Angel around me. 

So I pulled up to Angel's house. I used to live with her, but Yanna wasn't happy with that so I moved out. I knocked on the door and waited for Angel to open it. It didn't take her long though. She opened the door and greated me with so much energy.

"Jewels! Finally you're here! I have to show you the venue!" she said pushing me back out the door.

"who's driving?"

"You are crazy, my doctor doesn't want me driving yet." 

We got into my car and I pulled off. Angel was getting married. I am kinda happy. I know you're thinking why kinda, but it's because I don't want to lose my Angel Bunny. I already moved out now it'll just get worse. We pulled up to the venue and it was a park, but it was no ordinary park. It had everything you could think. While we were at the venue Yanna called my phone. I was confused a little.

"Hello?"

"Um hey Jay, can you tell Angel to hurry home?"

"Why?"

"Um because I need her here."

"Fine, sure I will let her know."

I hung up without saying bye. Ugh! See what I mean by she doesn't like me with Angel. It's weird because I knew her before she met Angel and we were friends, but things and people change I guess. I let Angel know and we left. We pulled up to her house and I turned off the car.

"Can I come in or no not today either?"

"Jewel, you know you're always welcomed, but not today." she said getting out.

I pulled off and headed home. I wish she didn't have to answer to her wifey, but hey that's what people in love do. When i got home i immeditately went to my couch and turned on a movie. While I was watching the movie I got a message from an unsaved number.

It read:

Hey beautiful. I hope you not busy cause i want to take you out. By the way this is Dondre.

My face lit up. I was so excited. He was this guy I talked to in high school but he went to the military and he was already 2 grades above me. I replied of course saying I wasnt able to make it, but maybe another night. Then he replied:

I really wanted to see you. If you dont feel like coming out, i can always come to you.

I agreed then. I sent him my address and then  freshened up. He arrived about 20 minutes later. I greated him at the door with a big hug. We went to my room and layed across the bed. Before y'all negative minds go any further we just talked.

"So, what made you come into town? You still stay in Washington right?"

"Yea, I'm just visiting. Taking a little vacation."

"A vacation to Georgia? Come on now, you could have gone somewhere better."

" I missed it here. So I had to come back the first chance i got."

"when do you leave?"

"2 weeks"

"So what's the real reason you're here so long?"

He chuckled then said, "Well I really do miss it, but my homeboy Adam is getting married tomorrow."

"Oh wow, that's nice. Seems like everyone is getting married."

"Ha, yea! So I know it's last minute, but i was wondering if you will go as my lady?"

"Your lady? I haven't seen you in over 3 years and I'm 'your lady'?"

"Okay fine my plus one"

"Sure Dre I dont mind."

We caught up a little more then after a few hours we called it a night.

NEXT DAY

He picked me up for the wedding and we were on our way.

It started on time surprisingly. The groom came out and my heart dropped. It was my Adam! Damn! The program went on and just as i thought it couldn't get any worse, it did when the bride came out. It was Yanna. Damn! What the fuck did i just get into?
