The New Year

It begins...

I dropped Ginger off at her boyfriend's house then went to the grocery store to pick up a few things. Living alone in a 3 bedroom loft gets pretty lonely but today I was really looking forward to the peace and quiet. I quickly picked up what items I needed then went to check out. As I was standing in line I saw this guy walk by. He was tall, light skin, he had an amazing smile. I was staring at this guy so hard I couldn't take my eyes off of him. As I was staring another guy walked his direction. He was cute too but not cuter than his friend. The two guys greeted each other with..........

A KISS!?

Of course! Damn! I was so embarrassed I was glad to be next in line. I quickly paid and rushed out. As I was walking to my car my heal broke and it threw my balance off. I tried to catch myself but while holding three bags didn't help. I went falling to the ground. whatthehell! I thought to myself while on the ground.

A car began to back up and I quickly began to yell in panic while trying to get up and gather my bags. It took the driver a second to stop. The driver then got out his car and man was he sexy. He was dark skin tall and had dreads. I noticed his dimples and his perfect white teeth as he spoke, which quickly snapped me back into reality. His attitude was bad.

"Lady I am trying to back up can you hurry the fuck up. I have somewhere to be."

" I don't give to shits! You know what I'm having a bad day and I'm just going to walk away before I go to jail cause yo mouth almost got you fucked up and me behind bars." I said walking away.

As I was in the car I got a call from Ginger.

"Yes honey bun?" I answered sounding dull.

"Ugh! What's wrong with you.?

" I am so lonely!"

"Well i bet this weekend will help you feel better!"

"Um how?"

"Our class reunion is this weekend. We leave tomorrow and come back Sunday night. We will be staying all weekend at the resort. Did you really forget?"

" Yea I really did forget all about it, but how does this help me solve my lonely problem?"

"I'm pretty sure Adam will be there!"

"Adam! I'm not ready to see him again."

"Oh relax Jewel it's been 5 years since graduation I am pretty sure he forgave you by now."

"I have to go. Bye." I said nervously hanging up.

Adam was my high school sweetheart. We were perfect together until Jay came along. When i met Jay I left Adam. Now that everything has happened with my sister i really wish I would have just stayed with Adam from the beginning. I don't know what to expect seeing him at the reunion. And a whole weekend doesn't make it any better. I need to prepare myself. Maybe if I am lucky i wont see him all weekend or even better he won't come! Yea right I know he is coming. Well i guess

I will just have to go along with whatever happens. 

~Next Day~

I don't know if I got everything. I had to pack in a rush. But hopefully i did. When we arrived at the resort it was very nice. We checked in and went to our room. We decided to share a room to save money. We got a list of it events that was set up for us to do the weekend. Later on that day we were suppose to have a pool party at the resort's pool house. Saturday we are suppose to reach out to the community by visiting the elderly and helping out for the day. Then lastly on Sunday we have a lunch at a nice restaurant exchange contact information then return to our rooms and pack to leave.

"What you wearing tonight boo?' I asked Ginger as i began to pull out my clothes for the week.

"I was thinking about a sundress. What are you wearing?"

"I was just going to go in my bathing suit and wear my bathing suit cover."

"It's see through that  doesn't count."

"Well it counts to me. Ima go get cleaned up and change." I said walking to the bathroom.

Ginger and I went to the pool house a little late. It said it would start at 8 but we didn't go to about 9. Ginger was taking forever.

When we got to the house it was live! We headed to the bar and began to mingle. The whole time i was kinda hoping to not see Adam. But I did see one person I had bad memories with.

"Ginger look over there. You see that girl in the yellow?" I said as i took a sip from my long island strawberry ice tea.

"Is that Stacy White?"

"Yep."

"She was so mean to you. Oh you remember that time she tripped you and your whole tray just got all over yourself. Oh and it was your birthday and the whole cafeteria just laughed at you."

"Yes Ginger thank you for giving me that wonderful description." I said a little annoyed. "Ima go pay her a little visit." I added.

I walked over to her and cut in between her conversation she was having.

"Hey Stacy! It's me Jewel."

"Oh hi. I didn't recognize you. You look a lot better. I believe my last memory of you was in the cafeteria. I remember exactly what you were wearing."

"Oh i bet."

"Yea it was Spaghetti and strawberry shortcake oh and peaches." she said then began to laugh.

"Aw that's sweet. I won't forget your outfit tonight." I said .

I took my drink and threw it right on her. 

"Oh would you look at that you look like a little sunset. The yellow and the red mixing together to make that sloppy orange. It really fits you. Sloppy orange and sloppy you." i said smiling.

"You're such a bitch. Well i guess I would be too if my fiance left me for my sister too."

I know this dirty hoe didn't just say that. I got so mad my first reaction was to punch the hoe in her fucking face. Shit got real when the hoe decided to pull my hair then all hell broke loose.Last thing I remember was her hitting me one good time and me going in on her face. I began to feel the arms of people grab me and pull me off of her. I looked around to see who pulled me off and it was Adam. My heart dropped.......

Sorry this chapter was long and boring :( 

Next Chapter will be way better! 

It's going to get really interesting!
