"Jessica do you understand what this means?"
I smirked, my eyes challenging him to say the words I knew I would hear.
"You've been suspended way to many times! Enough warnings, your expelled!" our headmaster fumed.
I laughed quietly to myself, the look on Claire's face was all worth it. It was like a scene from a move. I heard Connor try to stifle his laughter next to me.
"And you! You may be one of our best students but you've been suspended just as many times as Jessica has, you think this is funny?"
He did.
"Your expelled to."
Our headmaster stared at us with a scowl on his face. We stared back with matching smirks, showing him how little we cared about him or his school.
"Leave both of you! Your parents will be notified, don't think you'll be laughing then."
We walked out, still barely containing our laughter.
"She was worth it." I choked out.
"Out with a bang, that's my motto. No one will be forgetting this soon." Connor said with a wink.
We both had already said goodbye to our friends 'cos we knew we would be leaving. Walking out of that building with a smile on my face and my best friend to my right I realized how little I would miss this dumpy school. My parents? I'll deal with them later. And Connor's parents? I may have forgot to mention that we adopted him at age 13. His parents died in a car accident. It was hard to see him like that, my rock so fragile and broken. In the end we were closer then ever. The only thing I don't understand is why. My motto was always "Everything happens for a reason" but I don't know why they had to die, they were wonderful people and amazing parents to Connor. But my parents took him in because he had no other family around and he practically lived with us already. It wasn't as if money was an issue, there was plenty of extra rooms in our house (mansion if you wanna get technical) but Connor chose the smallest one because it was next to mine and overlooked the city. I don't know if my parents pitied him or if they were afraid of yelling at him but either way Connor never got in trouble, ever. He doesn't take advantage of it either, he gets strait A's and is never out to late. The only times he does something "bad" is when he's with me. I'm not a bad influence I just... Okay maybe I am but that's not the point. The point is I get in trouble for everything and Connor never does.
"Walk, bus, or Kenny?" Connor's voice cut through my thoughts.
"Well all this getting expelled shit is tiring so Kenny." I joked.
Kenny is our driver. He would drive us to our mansion where we would eat food made by our cook and watch TV in a spotless room, thanks to our maids. I know I told you my parents are rich, but I wanted to get my point across. I know what your thinking. I got expelled to get attention from my parents I have parent issues ya, ya whatever. Okay that may be true but I'm not actually that bad a student, I get mostly B's, do my homework, all that stuff. I just had to show that bitch who's boss. I knew I shouldn't have but I wasn't afraid of the consequences. This was the first, and only, school I've been kicked out of, so don't judge me to quickly. I knew I would be going to a new school soon but I had the weekend to party! I was ready for tonight. Justin, who's kind of a loser but has parents who are out of town a lot, is throwing a party. But before I could even think about that I had to get past the talk with my parents I knew I was soon to have. I sighed.
"It's a pizza and pay-per-view kind of day" I told Connor.
"Sounds like a plan until the king and queen come home and murder you and I'll finally get to be an only child"
"It's not my fault you never get in trouble."
"Suck it."
"Um.. How about no." I said sticking my tongue out at him.
"Whatever bitch" Connor smirked.
"Dick"
"Slut"
"Douche"
We stared at each other refusing move and give in until Connor broke the silence.
"So that movie?"
"Oh right"
I put on some animated movie and snuggled up on the coach. We stayed like that for the rest of the afternoon until we heard the door open and my mother's screech echo through the house. I groaned. Time for living hell!
********
"But Mom!!!" I whined.
"No buts your going."
"But Burbank High sucks and I need my phone."
"I guess you should have thought of that before you got expelled."
I groaned. At Burbank the girls are either bitches, sluts, or nerds. And all the guys are either athletes or band geeks. They were the cliqueiest school ever if you socialize out of your group, you might as well be Hitler.
"Fine" I said as I stomped away to my room.
"How'd it go?" Connor asked.
"I actually got off pretty easy, no phone for three months."
"Really? That's all? From all the yelling I thought I would have been worse."
"We'll if I made her think it wasn't a bad punishment she would have made it worse. Oh but we're going to Burbank."
"Well that should be an experience..."
Leave it to Connor to stay positive.
"Sure. Oh and I don't wanna go to Justin's party anymore."
"They wouldn't have let you go anyway."
"Ya it's this thing called not telling them but I'm not going anyways so it doesn't matter. Anyways, I'm tired goodnight."
"Someone's pissy," Connor joked,"goodnight."
The rest of the weekend passed by pretty quickly. My parents went to some country to some world wide business meeting or maybe they went to go buy a unicorn I really couldn't care less. All I know is they weren't home so Connor and I just chilled at the house. I packed my stuff for school to start the next day along with my textbooks and schedule my parents had all ready gotten for me. I'm so glad my parents care so much about my education! Note the sarcasm.
"Are you ready for tomorrow?" Connor said.
"Ready as I'll ever be."
I sighed, it was going to be a long year.
A/n So another boring chapter I'm sorry it gets better when you meet James. More to come, hopefully soon. Xx
