My eyes fluttered open to an unfamiliar room. A familiar smell intoxicated my brain as I tried to piece together where I was and what had happened.
"The nurse says you just need some sleep, you should be fine. Connor had football practice so I offered to take you home but then I realized I forgot to get the key from him so I took you here." James rambled.
Right, here. James's room. I looked around and saw a typical guys room. The walls were white and everything else was red. There was some gaming equipment by the TV and a few football trophies scattered about. I started to recall what had happened; the fight, getting hit, James coming and breaking it up. Then I looked at him, confused.
"What's wrong?" James asked, worry in his eyes.
"Why don't you have football practice?" I asked James.
He laughed.
"You scared me I thought something was wrong. It's just a defense practice, I play offense." James explained.
I nodded and tried to sit up. As I did so I could feel the pain hit me hard in my forehead. I groaned and laid back down.
"You should get some rest. Connor should be home in about an hour I told him to get you here."
I nodded slightly, trying to avoid the pain. I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep snuggling deep in James's sheets.

This time when my eyes fluttered open I knew exactly where I was. I saw James playing COD in the corner of his room as I sat up slowly. My forehead throbbed but it wasn't as bad as before.
James must have heard the rustling because he paused his game and turned around.
'If a guy pauses his video game for you, marry him' I thought to myself, recalling the tumblr post I had seen earlier.
"Are you feeling better? You weren't sleeping very long, Connor shouldn't be here for another twenty minutes or so."
The way he was looking at me right then. His blue eyes were filled with worry, as if I could die any moment. It was touching how much he cared about some girl he barely knew.
I chuckled," I'm fine stop worrying."
James relaxed only a bit and sent my a small smile.
"I just want to make sure your okay, your my best friend's sister. Do you need anything? Are you hungry? I don't know of we have food but I can check or run to the store. What kind of food do you like? Do you need pills? I can go get some for you." James ranted on.
"I'm fine, really. Maybe an aspirin if you have any." I said, laughing to myself.
James nodded and ran down stairs. 'Best friend's sister.' I thought to my self. I knew Connor and James were friends but I didn't know they were close. Is this like being friend zoned? Best friend's sister. I guess that's really all I was anyway. Why is this bothering me so much.
James came running back up stairs, interrupting my thoughts, with a glass of water and an aspirin.
"Thanks." I said, as I took the pill. Then something occurred to me.
"You have stairs?"
"Ya. So?" James asked, clearly confused.
"You carried me up stairs, don't you have a sofa or something down stairs."
James laughed. "Ya but I thought this would be more comfortable. Your really light anyways. But you were slipping in and out of consciousness and saying some pretty funny things."
