Bring! Bring!

"Rise and shine you don't want to be late for your fist day at Burbank!" Connor's overly cheery voice rang through my room.

"Damn I thought that was a nightmare. I'm going back to bed."

I felt the cool morning air hit my body as my blankets were ripped off.

"Go to hell Connor and take that alarm clock with you."

"Mary made chocolate chip pancakes get up before I eat them all."

I head the door close and I slowly opened my eyes to the sunlight flooding my pink room. I slowly got out of my now cold bed. I put on a light blue strapless top that ended at my waist and my blue and pink floral skirt. Then I went to the bathroom to freshen up. I raked a brush through my naturally strait blonde hair and put on some makeup; more then usual less then I knew half the girls there would have on. I swung my bag over my shoulder and ran down stairs.

"Good morning sleeping beauty." Connor smiled.

I responded with a hmf and sat down to eat.

"Your parents said to make sure your outfit was appropriate, no mid-drifts." Mary, our cook, scolded.

I sighed and pulled my skirt up to meet the edge of my top.

"We'll it would be nice if they could tell me that for once."

Mary gave me a pitying look. I shoved the last of the pancakes in my mouth.

"Let's go Connor!"

"I guess we're leaving then, bye Mary thanks for the pancakes!" Connor called out as I drug him to the car.

When we pulled up to Burbank I looked out the window and saw exactly what I had envisioned. The school was brown and old but brightly colored posters hung everywhere in a sad attempt to liven up the school. A blind man could see the cliques surrounding the building.

"I guess this is it." I sighed.

"It doesn't look to bad" Kenny tried to liven the mood, but failed like the posters on the crumbling brown walls.

"Right. Thanks Kenny see you at three."

We climbed out of the car and that's when I saw him. Brown hair, sparkling blue eyes, and the perfectest smile ever.

"Oh. My. God."

"Jessica? Jessica! Focus!"

"Wuh?"

"The bell rang."

"Oh"

I felt stupid as I realized everyone around me was moving quickly to get to class. We found our classroom and I felt my heart literally skip a beat. He was in my class. OH. MY. FU**ING. GOD. MR. PERFECT. WAS. IN. MY. CLASS.

Stay calm Jessica. Calm down. But my heart wouldn't stop racing.

"Hello. You must be Connor and Jessica." A short, bald man at the front of the classroom said.

I smiled meekly at him and nodded slightly.

"I heard what happened at your last school and I suggest you don't let it happen here. Please take a seat."

Connor sat down and I grabbed a seat next to him. When I turned around to get my supplies I saw him. How did I not see him when I sat down?!?!

"James. You must be Jessica." Mr. Perfect said with a wink.

I swear I almost fainted.

"N-nice to meet you." I choked out.

I quickly turned back around. "Oh god. Get your act together." I mentally scolded myself. I could hear James chuckle from behind me. He would be the death of me, I already know. I wasn't usually like this around guys. I know how to flirt, I've dated a couple guys but Connor scares them off a bit. I guess I was daydreaming about James because all of a sudden the bell rang.

My next few classes were boring. Math was the only class I had with James, but luckily I had all of them with Connor. Before I knew it, it was lunch. Knowing how this school worked I knew this is where I would be stereotyped for the rest of high school.

"Well if it doesn't work out you could always buy your friends." Connor joked, easing my nerves considerably.

When I opened the lunch room door I felt the eyes turn to us. I could see their judging eyes studying ever part of my body; I just stood there and smiled, containing my urge to flip them all off. Connor and I quickly walked to the lunch line when a verdict was reached.

"JESSICA!" a high pitched voice screeched.

It took all that I had not to wince at the sound. I turned around slowly to see a blonde clad in cheer uniform complete with a high-pony and bow. I smiled at her and began to follow her waving hand over to their table. I turned around and saw Connor all ready seated with the jocks (including James).

"Hi! Your Jessica right? I'm Emily. This is Kristi, Allison, Ashely, Marisa, Alexis, and Chloe." Emily said pointing to one blonde clone after another.

I waved and smiled to each of them before sitting down.

"So you guys are cheerleaders?" I asked, trying to create conversation.

"Yup!" Emily, who seemed to be their leader, responded, "you should join the cheer team!"

I contemplated that. I had been doing cheer since I was little, but only because my mom wanted me to. But cheerleading would mean getting to see Connor, who was already on the football team because Burbank recruited him from our old school. And James was at the jock table so maybe he played football as well. I looked up to see 7 girls eagerly awaiting my answer. I smiled at them.

"Sure."

They responded with more squealing.

"You can try out for our coach today after school. We usually don't let people on after the season starts, but were down a girl so I'm sure she won't mind." Emily informed me.

"Sounds good" I replied with a smile.

Now that I had friends I figured I should ask them about James.

"So..."

7 faces turned to face me.

"What do you know about that guy James."

They all smirked like they knew I would ask them.

"Honey. Don't get your hopes up." Emily said, her voice coated in sugar.

"He's a bad boy, totally hot, and totally undatable." Chloe piped in.

"Undatable?"

"That's how he works, he flirts and makes you feel special then ditches you, hasn't had a single girlfriend." Alexis, who I could already tell was a gossiper, stated.

"Ever?" I asked, with disbelief.

"Ever!" All 7 girls replied at the same time.

"Well I'm going to be the first to change that." I stated.

"Likely, we've all tried honey." Emily, who was slowly becoming my favorite, replied.

"You wanna bet?"

"Sure loser has to take Smelly Greg to Prom."

"Who?"

Emily pointed to a straggly looking boy who currently had his finger up his nose.

"Ew! Your so on."

And that's how it all started.
