Switching from the Dursleys to the Weasleys was a bit of culture shock to be sure. The Dursleys were as sterile as a hospital. Deep cleans of the entire house were done almost weekly. Other than Harry's room, as Petunia didn't dare go in there. On the other hand, the Burrow was filled with bangs and smells that were considered normal. There were things cluttered everywhere. Of course, Mrs Weasley tried her best to keep things ordered to the best of her ability but really, when you have seven children in one house, it was quite difficult. The cleanest place was probably Percy's room, but none of them knew for sure as he never let them in. Everyone (barring maybe Percy) was so nice. They included the two guests in activities and Harry was happy he could finally take to the skies on his broom once again.
They received their Hogwarts letters a week after they had arrived at the Burrow. Dawn had managed to befriend Ginny to the best of her ability, especially considering they now stayed in the same room. The two were now sat munching on toast and porridge at the dining table. Mr Weasley was reading the Daily Prophet and Mrs Weasley busy making more breakfast for whenever the rest of the house decided to show up. The owls had arrived with a large stack of envelopes for them. Ginny was incredibly happy that she was finally going to Hogwarts after watching all her brothers go without her.
Miss D. Dursley, The Third Floor, The Burrow, Devon
Dawn opened up her letter and read it quietly. There was the usual reminder that the train from King's Cross station leaves at eleven o'clock on the first of September. The second letter contained a list of new books but before she could read it, there was a clatter of Ginny's porridge bowl hitting the ground. Harry and Ron had finally come down.
"Letters from school," said Mr Weasley, handing them the ones addressed to them. "Dumbledore already knows the two of you are here, Harry - doesn't miss a trick, that man. You two've got them, too," he added as the twins plodded in tiredly, still in their pyjamas. Dawn continued reading.

Break with a Banshee by Gilderoy Lockhart
Gadding with Ghouls by Gilderoy Lockhart
Holidays with Hags by Gilderoy Lockhart
Travels with Trolls by Gilderoy Lockhart
Voyages with Vampires by Gilderoy Lockhart.
Wanderings with Werewolves by Gilderoy Lockhart
Year with the Yeti by Gilderoy LockhartWith each Gilderoy Lockhart book listed, Dawn's eyebrows rose higher and higher and when she looked up, everyone else was in a similar state. "You've been told to get all of Lockhart's books too!" said Fred, peeking over Harry's shoulder. "The new Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor must be a fan - bet it's a witch." He caught his mothers eye and quickly bent his head down to his breakfast.
"That lot won't come cheap," said George. "Lockhart's books are really expensive."
"Well, we'll manage," said Mrs Weasley, but there was that twinge of worry in the creases of her forehead. "I expect we'll be able to pick up a lot of Ginny's things second-hand."
"Oh, are you starting at Hogwarts this year?" asked Harry innocently. Ginny nodded, face matching the colour of her hair as she put her elbow in the butter dish. Percy walked in a moment later, so no one else saw and Dawn helped her clean up her arm.
