The Hidden Romance

Chapter 16

                       JOONG

The ride to GMMTV HeadQuarter was quite and short. P'Neo would vibrate out of nerves if it's not for P'Jay holding him down. I reached over to P'Dunk to squeeze his hand to convey that I was not going anywhere. But he just smiled and he looked calm, infact a bit too calm given our situation that it did not sit well with me.

When P'Jay opened the car door, reporters are everywhere. It was difficult for us to even get out of the car. Luckily, security came and escort us out of the car to the building. All the while, I gripped P'Dunk's hand tightly even when he tried to slip out of it. I guess he felt guilty with all the reporters  shouting "Nong Dunk, is the rumour true? Is this how you repay your fans?"

I for one, was not feeling guilty at all. And I would not let P'Dunk feel guilty for loving me. It is a human nature to find a human mate and fall in love and build a home together. Even if we're of the same sex, I want this man to only love me for the rest of our life and I for him. So, even if Boss Takhun (CEO of GMMTV) asked us to break up. I made up my mind to break up with GMMTV instead.

But, to be honest, I felt scared. Not for me, for P. I do not want to make him suffer for anything. I do not want to make him anxious. I want him to feel safe being with me. I want him to be happy being with me.

A tugged on my hand made me look to my side. P'Dunk was looking intently at me, questioning without words whether I was fine or not. I flashed him my irresistible smile.

The elevator stopped at the 10th floor where the CEO office located. The four of us filed out of the elevator hesitantly. P'Jay took a deep breath and exhaled loudly as if preparing for a battle. P'Neo, if touched, would have combusted.

P'Jay led the way and we silently followed him. As we near the CEO chamber, my gripped on P's hand got tighter. I couldn't help it, our fate lies behind the damn chamber.

P'Jay knocked.

"Come In" came from inside.

"Swadeekrab, P'Tan" P'Jay greeted upon entering the room.

We followed with the greeting as well.

"Well, sit sit" P'Tan told us.

"No need to be so down.But first, Dunk, Joong, I have a question to ask" P'Tan looked at us.

"Krab,P" we said at the same time.

"Is it true, the rumours I mean, the videos, Are you guys in a relationship?" he questioned

I looked at P'Dunk but he only looked at P'Tan. Coming out to our manager and being truthful  is one thing but coming out to your CEO, well, that's unnerving.

We never had the opportunity to discuss how we were gonna proceed with the coming out part of our relationship and how we were gonna handle it, how much were we allowed to share, etc. And that was the part where I was most nervous about. I do not want to be forward with our relationship as I wanted if P is not comfortable with it.

P'Dunk is a very private person. I was the one who initiate things. I pushed and pushed but even I know his limits. If I want our relationship to succeed, I have to reign in what I wanted and be mindful of what my partner wanted and put his comfort first. I was never mad when he wanted to first hide when we started dating. But I believed he was being paranoid and being too careful. I guess he was farsighted more than me. After 2 years of secretly dating, one drunken slip up and we were in a grave situation.

"Krab, P. We are dating" answered P'Dunk and I was shocked that he admitted our relationship. I thought he would deny it. I would not be angry but disappointed a bit if he were to deny it. But, I'm glad. I'm so glad I could kiss him right now, whether we're surrounded by people or not.

"How long has this been going on?" asked P'Tan.

"We have been going steady for 2 years now, P" I answered.

"Oh, Okay, okay" he looked at us thoughtfully.

"So, here's the thing. I do not want to make you more anxious but one of the brand Joong represent had pulled out this morning.." P'Tan started.

There was a whimper sound coming somewhere on my back and I believed it's P'Nao. I was disappointed but not that shocked. I was preparing my mind for this situation.

"And if the situation escalates, we believe more brands will follow. We are thinking of the worse case scenario right now" P'Tan informed us gravely.

"P, excuse me but what will become of us" P'Dunk asked.

"What do you mean?" P'Tan asked back.

"I mean, are you..are you gonna fire us, terminate our contracts?" P'Dunk asked nervously.

P'Tan laughed and it baffled me quite a lot. Was there any laughing matter? Was our situation that laughable? All the pent up frustration and anxiety that is our situation almost made me open my mouth and burst it our angrily. P' Dunk tightly held my hand as if he could hear my thoughts and to reign me down.

"No, no. It was so absurd that it made me laugh" P'Tan said between laughs.

"What?" I questioned.

"There were no rules about who you could date or when you could date in your contract and there are no rules in our company that specify if you could or could not date your colleagues. I thought you guys know that and that is why I found it so hilarious that you've been here for nearly 4 years now and still didn't know the rules." P'Tan stated.

"But guys, this is business. Everything is business. So, the PR team and I think that we would plan according to the public's reaction and opinions. For now, lay low, get off social media for the time being. Just prepare for Fan Day like schedule. You will be pick up and drop from your place by your managers. No interaction with fans for the time being. We will wait for the PR department decisions. Alright?"
P'Tan told us.

"Now, go do what you have to do and let us handle the situation" P'Tan ordered.

"Khobkhun krab, P" we both thanked him and was out of the room.

P'Jay decided that we would take the day off as scheduled and told us to go home.

A phone was ringing while we get out from the elevator  to the parking lot.

"Awww, what do I do, Joong?" P'Nao whimpered.

"What is it..P?" I asked

"It's your Mom" he squeaked out.

Well shit.
