"Brucey, can you braid my hair!" Amy barged into Bruce's room, awakening him from his deep sleep

"Uhh, do it yourself." Shutting his eyes

"No, you do it better than me."

"What's the time, oh wait, you can't read clocks." Bruce looks up to the clock, and it's six thirty
"It's too early." Bruce whines

"Pleeease." She pouts and gives him the puppy dog eyes

"Fine."

"Yay!" She jumps onto his bed as bruce slowly sits up
"So, you and vance last night."

"Don't even, why would you listen to our conversation, I'm pretty sure he heard you." Bruce sighs whilst starting to braid her hair

"It's funny. Do you think he'll come back again tonight?"

"I don't know, maybe you scared him."

"Oh shut up, you scared him by touching his hair."

"He said it was fine."

"Yeah, and then he left."

"God, you're so annoying. your hair is done."

"Yay, thanks, bruce." She skips to the door frame

"I think you should ask him out tonight."

"No, now go away."

She rolls her eyes but leaves

Bruce tries to go back to sleep but fails and decides to take a shower

When he gets out, it's 7.am

Perfect

He dries his hair and changes into some clean clothes his mum had laid neatly out on his bed

He goes downstairs and is taken back by the smell of breakfast

"Morning mum."

"Good morning, baby." She pinches his cheek and hands him a plate with bacon on it

"Thanks, ma."

"Vance, wake up, we're going to be late for school!" Belle vigorously shakes vance

Belle curses that he is such a heavy sleeper

"Bruce will be here soon." As if magic the mention of bruce had woken vance up
He jolted up, clenching his chest and breathing heavily
"God, you're acting like you just got back from the war!" Belle laughs

"Be quiet."

They get ready and meet bruce outside

"You ready?"

"Yeah, let's go." They all walk together
Belle in the middle and bruce and vance on either side
"Soo, when are you planning on kissing Henry?"

hearing Henry's name makes bruce tighten

"Uh, soon, maybe when he asks me on another date." Vance scoffs at that, but the two choose to ignore him

"Cool." They walk into school, and vance goes his separate way

The other two go to their locker

"So I was thinking, tomorrow we could have a sleep-" bruce gets interrupted by a tap on the shoulder, making him turn around

"Hi, bruce."

"Hi, Henry."

"I just wanted to ask if maybe I could go to your house after school?"

Great, bruce really didn't want to, but he has to, or it would look weird

"Yeah, it seems ok. My family doesn't know about me, though."
