You wake up to a dramatic drumroll that transitions into ubeat circus music, not knowing where you are. Then you hear charming voices in the distance
Welcome... TO THE AMAZING DIGITAL CIRCUS!!! My name is Caine, and I'm your ringmaster! And I'm here to show you the most jaw droping, heart-stopping, MIIINNNDDDD bending paraphernalia you've ever laid your eyes on! Isn't that right, bubble?
That's right, Caine! I can't wait to see what you've got cooking up for today
Well, let's not waste any time, Let's get RIGHT into the show!
Gangle, And Zooble, And kinger too~ Ragatha, Jax, And there's Pomni Day after day after day after day we fly, Past the moon and the sun, and we don't know why~
The music continues, and you find yourself in a huge circus. Looking around in awe, you trip on a glitched object inside the floor and land face first behind another character. The purple bunny turns around because he feels a thud on the floor and stops the music.
"OH, COME ON CAINE!" The rabbit yells, causing the music to wind down comically. Everyone else turns around. Everyone is looking at you except the bunny who is looking at the guy who's floating.
"Wel Jax, she's much quieter than Pomni was yesterday," the colorful block creature said as she referenced to the jester behind her.
"Actually, Zooble, you're right," Jax says as he squats to get a better look. "Are you an npc?" He asks you cunningly.
"I- no?" You respond
"That checks out," the bunny says as he stands up and holds out a gloved hand. You hesitate to grab onto it , and as he helps you out, his arm goes limp, and you fall back down. "Oops, sorry about that no name," and he actually helps you out the next time.
"What do you mean no na-" You start talking back and trailed off as you forgot what your name is. "Oh $#!]," you say blatantly. "Wait, what..."
"NOPE! NUH UH!" The one named Caine says as he appears out of nowhere. "NO MORE FOUL LANGUAGE" If he had a face, it would be bright red with rage.
"Hey, Caine," Jax said, "What about a name for her? Since it's the only thing that she's flipped out about since she got here. Also," Jax turns to you. "That's an interesting eye you have," He reaches for your face and pulls off a box with a question mark symbol. When you realize it came from your face, it changes to an exclamation mark. "Here ya go, " Jax tosses it back to you as you notice a giant machine with random letters.
"Here's how well determine your name," Caine says, delighted as he pulls the lever. The machine spins, and the letters ecoxb show. "How's this?" Caine asks
You look at the name closely and see Echo from eco. "How about Echo?" You suggest
"WONDERFULL!" Caine exclaimed. "Now, how about a tour.... actually, I don't want bubble licking vomit again." There's a pause of scilence. Everyone winces at the thought of that. "You know what?" Caine says. "How about somebody else do the tour so there's no motion sickness, and I'll explain today's adventure in the meantime... Jax!" Caine points to him, "You have the luxury of giving our new friend Echo a tour!"
"Why me!?" Jax yells.
"Because, Jax," Caine explains. "You met her first, and you seem fond of her." Jax looks confused
"What does that mean???" But Caine was off to explain his adventure to the group. Echo looks at Jax, waiting for her tour. "Ugh, fine... follow me. " They begin walking around the ground as Jax explains where they are. "This is the tent," Jax says as he gestures off the stage and into the rest of the circus. "It's where we do most of our things," as they kept walking, Echo decided to start asking questions.
"So, why am I here?" Echo asks Jax
"You should at least remember that part," He replies. "We all remember putting on a headset and waking up here. You're the first person I've seen that hasn't tried taking it off..." Jax looks Echo up and down, "Why is that E?"
"I don't know - wait, did you just call me E?" Echo starts to laugh a little bit.
"Yeah, I guess so," Jax answers while laughing at himself. "So what?" They make their way outside where Jax poi ts out the digital lake and the digital carnival-
"THERES A CARNIVAL!?" Echo yells, making Jax repeat what he just told her.
"Yes E, there's a carnival -" Jax is cut off abruptly by Echo
"Can we go!? PLEASE!!!" Echo was basically shaking Jax, so he would say yes.
"I'll ask Caine!" He says, shutting Echo up. "I don't think I've ever seen anyone this excited about living here before. Follow me," they make their way back into the tent and see everyone struggling with an infestation of bubbles being a nussence to everyone. They end up sneaking past so the bubbles wouldn't see them. Echo and Jax step into a long hallway filled with bright colors and doors. "This is where our rooms are," Jax says, smiling. "We don't really need sleep, or food, or the bathroom, but it's nice to have our own personal areas."
"Where's mine?" Echo asks excitedly. She then runs down the hallway to find her room, but she realizes she doesn't know what she looks like. She does take notice of all the characters whose faces have been ❌️ed out. "Hey Jax, who are these people?" Echo asks, very confused as Jax makes his way over to her.
"Those were our friends. They reached what's called a breaking point," Jax said blandly. "In other words, they abstracted. Kaufmou over there, " He points to a door with a clowns face, "abstracted yesterday... oh, look, your room is across from his," He points to the door across from kaumou's room.
Echo walks over to the door and looks at the portrait of herself. "So that's how I look?" She asks as she turns to Jax.
"Yup," Jax replied. "You like it?"
"I'm awesome!" Echo blurts out. "I need to find a mirror!" Echo opens the room to find a cheerful design based on her color pallet, mixed with lots of symbols as the wallpaper. There's a nice white vanity desk in the middle of a wall and a large bed with lots of stuffed animals. Echo runs to the vanity to look at herself in the mirror. Her eye was now three exclamation marks! Then, she admires her dimly lit room, and belly flops on the bed, grabbing all of the stuffed animals she could hold.
"You have a nice room, E," Jax says as he grabs a teddy bear off the soft carpet floor. "You wanna go join the adventure? And introduce yourself to the gang?" No response came from Echo. "Hello?" Jax walks to where she was laying, and she was fast asleep, one eye closed, the other showing 💤. Jax thought about throwing the bear at her to wake her up but decided against it. He put it on her bed and left the room.
