I have yet to watch the second season for a few months, but I had watched it when it came out. Also it is shorter than the Tadc theory.

So we all know about plan 99 where Tech sacrificed himself to save the others. In the middle of the episode we see that the empire uncovered his goggles, and at the end we see Omega with the scientist or her sister in a med bay. Any who so what if they took Tech to the other side of the bay so he could still be there recovering and they put a brand new obedience chip that is more controlling in Tech's mind. If the new controlled Tech goes to the planet and system the others are in and lead the empire to implant the same control chips into them, with that out of the way they'd be able to continue conquering many galaxies.

The more important part of this is the Tech theory not the other thing.

So three new episodes have come out so far, as we know Omega and Crosshair had escaped out of the Empire's custody. However, expanding off of the theory of Tech still being alive; we see a storm/clone trooper dressed in black at one point in one of the episodes looking suspicious. The theory is that THAT was Tech pretending to be/or is under the control of the empire. Guess that we'll have to see later on...

...yeah so for whoever saw the finale, I'd like to say that there was actually no confirmation on who CX-2 was meaning this is not wrong and it is not true.
