Eric Harden had his whole life mapped out since the day he was born and never strayed from that path. Until Gavin Adams walked into his life and awoke feelings in him that he never even knew existed.
And now he was expected to just forget about it a...

What was suppose to be just me and Tyler, turned into me, Tyler, Avery, Jace, a couple more players that graduated with us. We fell into our old routine almost perfectly.
We were back like we never left and we fucking demolished them.
Coach shouted from the sidelines, "Guys you could've at least let them score one time!" His smile let us know he teasing and not really mad that we just embarrassed his team.
I thought about it for second but nah. These niggas just need to do better the fuck. Because ain't no way it's eleven of y'all, only seven of us, and you still can't get a play. They played with us last year so they should know all our tricks and shit, but that's what happen when you don't pay attention and use knowledge to your advantages.
Shit, fuck the starters! We could've took on the whole team. Coach called it and they walked to the lockers with their tails between their legs.
The first half of practice was productive, but after too much shit talking we had to put them in their places. Especially from Jace's little brother, Josiah. I think Jace enjoyed this a bit too much because he would tackle the nigga even when he didn't have the ball.
After practice Jace and I somehow ended up back at Tyler's playing COD. It's funny that the whole four years we played together I never been to the his house, now I been here three times since summer started. I wish we would've been this close back then. We were always taking care of each other as teammates and went out after games, but it looking back it all seemed just surface level. I ain't even know he had a brother that went to our school.
We was rolling up and playing for hours, taking turns because it was only two controllers. It was my turn to sit out this one so I was just scrolling on Instagram. Then suddenly the feed refreshed itself and the first thing that popped up had my dropping my phone.
It was Gavin. At least I think it was.
I picked it back up and zoomed it. As if I needed more clarification. I could probably recognize this nigga by his big toe... My breathing stopped just for a second. It was definitely Gavin. His smile practically took up his whole face.
His hair was down. I liked it like that. Gavin's arm was wrapped around the shoulder of that guy that's always doing the mic night things. It was posted on the The Tillman Talk page I told him about months ago.
TheTillmanTalk: "Oh, @TheCrillBar, we miss you and we know you miss us! Look back at some of the talents that touched the stage and wait til you see the ones we got coming soon!"
I tapped the photo, he was tagged and so was the other guy, his name was Andy apparently. My finger hovered but I didn't actually click on Gavin's tag because I already knew I was blocked.
