"You're serious?" you ask Bekah. She sits on yours and Klaus' bed, nodding.

"I hear two heartbeats." You sit on the bed in shock.

"We didn't even think about using protection cause it's so, so rare," you say, feeling the need to explain for some reason. She lays a comforting hand on your shoulder.

"I know. You don't have to explain. But you should tell him." You shake your head.

"He won't want another baby. He already has Hope. With Hayley. I'm still trying to wrap your head around the fact that he cheated on me while in Mystic Falls," you grumble. Bekah sighs and pulls you in for a hug.

"I know. I know. Even if Klaus is a dick and doesn't want it, you know that Kol, Elijah, and I will be with you every step of the way." You smile slightly, knowing that it's true.

"Is he here?" you whisper. She nods.

"Downstairs. Do you want me to come with you?" You think about it but shake your head.

"No, thank you, though. I think this is something I need to do alone." She helps you stand and kisses your cheek.

"You got this."

"How is this scarier than anything else I've been through?" you mumble to yourself. You walk as slowly as possible down the stairs.

"Stop stalling," Bekah whispers from the top of the stairs. You scowl and walk a little faster. Your feet hit the stone floor and you walk over to where Klaus and Elijah are scheming at the table.

"Hey, 'Lijah? Can I talk to Klaus for a moment?" Elijah must sense the anxiety radiating off of you because he looks concerned.

"Yes, of course." He stands and spots Bekah upstairs. He walks towards her, a questioning look on his face. Klaus smiles up at you and you sit beside him. You try to smile in return, but your nerves prevent even that.

"What's the matter, love?" he asks, placing a hands on yours. You take in deep breaths. At the rate your heart is going, you don't think anyone could hear the second heartbeat even if they tried.

"Uh, well, I don't really know how to tell you. It's like, really new to me. I've never done this before. I mean, it's never happened to me before. And I don't know how you're gonna take it 'cause it's probably new to you, too. Actually, wait, not it's not. That was dumb. I—"

"You're rambling." You sigh and stand up, pacing.

"I know, I know. I'm sorry. This is harder than I thought it would be. Um..." you trail off, looking at the flowers Klaus let you plant by the fountain. You smile slightly at the memory of you begging and begging him to let you plant a garden. He finally relented. You think he actually likes it.

"Are you leaving me?" Klaus asks, ripping you from your thoughts. You look at him, appalled at the idea.

"No! Although, you might leave me after I tell you." He chuckles.

"I'll only leave if you tell me to." You let out a nervous laugh, a little comforted by it. "You don't have to tell me right now if you don't—"

"I'm pregnant." Klaus stalls. You hold your breath, your heart beating a mile a minute. He looks at you before standing. His face is unreadable. And that's terrifying.

"You're pregnant," he repeats. You nod slowly.

"Yes, I said that." His fists clench and his eyes turn angry.

Oh, shit.

"That's not possible. You're human. It's not possible. You've been with someone else!" he bellows. You flinch as he throws a chair at the wall, effectively shattering it. Rebekah and Elijah are down within seconds. Bekah stands protectively in front of you while Elijah attempts to calm Klaus.

You've been with someone else.

The more you think of that comment, the angrier you become. You shove past Bekah and stop in front of Klaus.

"Excuse me, Elijah." He steps back a little, the calmness in your voice alarming him.

You stare into Klaus' angry eyes, clench your jaw, and slap him.

The force of the slap sends his head sideways. Rebekah gasps and you can tell Elijah is dumbfounded. Klaus turns his head slowly back to look at you. He's no longer angry. He's shocked.

"You, of all people, do not get to accuse me of infidelity. It's you who cheated on me. It's you who have a baby with another woman," you spit, your voice scarily low and quiet. "I have been nothing but loyal to you. Even when you got Hayley pregnant, I stayed with you every goddamn step of the way. And for you to accuse me of doing that same thing? Do you really think that little of me?" You're shouting now, the emotions you've bottled up for the sake of Hope and everyone's sanity exploding. You shove him and he stumbles back.

"(Y/N), I'm sorry. I didn't mean it," he tries pathetically. You scoff.

"Yes, you did. You think everyone around you will betray you. Did you even think about the fact that part of you is still a werewolf? The same part that allowed Hayley to become pregnant? You're ridiculous! You don't think, you just act. And you know what that's cost you?" You let the silence beat down on Klaus. You watch as his face falls.

"(Y/N), love, please. Please," he pleads. You step back as he reaches out.

"It's cost you me. I'm done, Klaus. I'm done." You turn around and start walking past Bekah and Elijah.

"What about the past three years, huh?" Klaus calls.

"You can shove those three years up your ass," you respond without looking turning around.

"Please. I swear I didn't mean it. Please, don't leave." You stop, still not turning. You can hear him hold his breath. Bekah and Elijah wait, too.

"Sit on a white oak stake and twist," you hiss. You stand there, stupidly waiting for his response.

"I love you." A single tear rolls down your cheek as you turn around.

"I loved you. Now you're nothing but the father of my child."

Could have been my happy ever after

Livin' like we're in a fairytale

But you and me were more like a disaster

I should have known
