Youstrideinto the compound, a look of triumph on your face. Klaus looks up and shakes his head, smiling.
"What is it this time, love?"
"You'll find out in a couple of seconds," you assure, plopping on the couch next to him. He wraps an arm around your shoulder and pulls you to him. You lean into his side, reading the page he's reading. Your eyes barely read half the page before a raging Kol rushes through the front door.
"(Y/N)!" He bellows. Klaus sighs from beside you and you smirk, knowing how he looks without looking up. You sense Klaus looks up and he tries and fails to hold back a laugh. "Yes, laugh it up, brother. You're next," he growls. You finally look up, satisfied to see him covered head to toe in raw egg.
"How did you manage to pull this off?"
"A magician never reveals her secrets," you wink.
"You're a bitch," Kol hisses.
"Witch," you correct smugly. He starts towards you but Klaus steps in front of you, teeth bared.
"Mind your step, brother," Klaus warns.
"Klaus, you know as well as I do that he cannot hurt me." He glares back at you, a hint of softness in his eyes reserved just for you.
"Let me be your savior for once, love." You kiss his cheek, ignoring Kol's heated glares.
"You always have and always will be my savior, Niklaus." A blush paints his cheeks and you grin, happy to have that affect on him. You look past Klaus and to Kol, finally taking pity. You wave your hand, instantly ridding him of the raw egg. "You're welcome." Kol sighs and rolls his eyes.
"Thank you, dear sister," he winks.
"Anything for a fellow Mikaelson." Kol pulls you in for a hug and you return it, thinking nothing of it. You feel a poke in your side and you jerk away, but not fast enough. In a flash, literally, Kol is holding you down and tickling you. You scream and squirm, trying to escape the Original, even though you know it's futile. Granted, you could use your magic to throw him off but I'll let him have his revenge.
"Kol, what is this?" A voice sounds from the entryway. Kol gets off of you and helps you up, turning to see Davina. Her face is flushed and she looks jealous. You scoff at her childishness. Kol shoots you a look and you return one of your own. "Who is she?"
"(Y/N). And you are?" you ask, just to get on her nerves.
"Davina. Kol's girlfriend." You widen your eyes in fake surprise, unbeknownst to her.
"Girlfriend? Why, Kol! How adorable," you tease. He rolls his eyes, pouting.
"Stop, it, (Y/N/N)." Klaus chuckles from behind you. You wrap an arm around Kol's waist and ruffle his hair. He growls, fixing his hair.
"Back off," Davina threatens. You smirk, enjoying the little witch's misplaced jealousy.
"Or what?"
"I'll make you wish you never set eyes on him." You laugh, shaking your head.
"Child, you could never beat me." Her eyes glow fiercely and she throws her hands out, firing a spell at you. You wave your hand, deflecting it easily. You let her keep casting spells to work out her frustration. Finally, you grow tired of her childishness and knock her to the ground with a glare.
She looks up at you in alarm and then to Kol. Kol looks like he wants to help, but he knows she needs to learn not to cross you.
"As I said, you could never beat me. I am a thousand years old." Davina's eyes widen.
"Who are you?" she repeats, a hint of curiosity laced in her tone.
"(Y/N) Mikaelson. Wife of Niklaus Mikaelson and predecessor of Esther Mikaelson." She looks at Kol, her eyes demanding why he didn't tell her about you. "I just arrived back in town after a long trip abroad in Greece. Wonderful country. I recommend visiting before you die." You hold your hand out to help her up. She eyes your hand warily before taking it.
"You're such a drama queen," Klaus muses from the couch. You help Davina up, giving her a small smile before turning to Klaus.
"You're one to talk." He winks at you. He stands and makes his way over to you slowly, predatorily. You roll your eyes at his dramatics but ultimately smile. He pulls you to him by your waist. Your body hits his and he tilts your chin up to look at him.
"You're beautiful. And I missed you," he whispers. He kisses you gently, pushing all of his love and adoration into it. You return the kiss with as much feeling, wrapping your arms around his neck. We pull away, smiling like idiots.
"Even after a thousand years, you still make me swoon," you tease. He chuckles, his smile widening.
"It's my charm," he insists.
"It must be, since I'm still around after everything with Hayley." His smile falters. You shake your head, pecking his lips. "I've already forgiven you, Klaus. I only bring it up to spite you sometimes. I'm a bitch like that." He huffs, kissing the crown of your forehead.
"You are a piece of work."
"Yes, but I am your piece of work that you can work on anytime," you wink. You pull away and walk away, up the stairs to our room. You smile to yourself as you hear Klaus growl and rush to follow you to your shared bedroom.
