Lionblaze rushed into Squirrelstar's den, hoping to find her there. She must've been exhausted from last nights gathering. "Lionblaze?" she meowed, "what do you need?" Lionblaze twitched his ear, "we have no prey, I can go on a hunting patrol with Cinderheart." Squirrelstar tilted her head in confusion, "shouldn't you send multiple patrols if we have barely any prey?" He rose to his paws in embarrassment, "yes, I should."

He padded into the warriors den looking for Cinderheart, her nest was empty. "Maybe she's gone hunting.. without me." he muttered to himself. Lionblaze sniffed her nest. Stale scent, strange. She didn't go to the gathering last night so maybe she slept outside camp. He bolted out of the camp entrance using his strong fore-paws to lift him faster and faster to find his mate. Stopping, Lionblaze scented her, it was faint though. Behind him he heard the rustling of leaves, almost as though a cat were walking through it. Could it be Cinderheart? "Cinderheart! Cinderheart! This isn't funny!" he yowled. He looked around searching for her beautiful gray pelt. He tried to remember the touch of her tail stroking his back. Starclan help me, where is she? A strong waft a wind blew past him. Lionblaze oh Lionblaze. A faint voice came through the wind. Darkness overwhelmed him, suddenly the sky became dark, but no Starclan warriors were glimmering in the sky, not even silverpelt. The voice spoke again, I'm coming.. Lionblaze's eyes were wide with fear as the wind became stronger and stronger and everything was becoming darker and darker. "Whats happening!" he screamed for help, but no one answered.

No ones going to help you.. No one. The voice began to burst into evil laughter. "That doesn't matter" Lionblaze spat, bristling his fur. Oh just you wait, just you wait. Great Starclan, who is this. Lionblaze opened up his jaws to talk but suddenly a large force grabbed his jaws brutally, closing them shut. He kicked his hind legs but the strange force held that too. Unsheathing his claws he wrathed around, trying to get free, but failed. You are one useless warrior aren't you? Oh right you can't speak, that's useless. The creature pulled him up into the sky by Lionblaze's hind leg. It felt as though Lionblaze were a bird. They were multiple fox lengths high in the air, he could see the top of the trees. His leg was throbbing with pain as with his jaw. It can fly, is it bird? He could see the creature clearly now, it was Duskstar.

"Recognise me now, Lionblaze" Duskstar released his jaw. "Y-yes" Lionblaze stammered. "You and your so called clanmates will face the wrath of me and I will rule all the clans" Duskstar whispered, clawing Lionblaze, "you won't tell anyone right?!" Lionblaze whimpered "N-n-no." Duskstar dug his claws into Lionblaze's chest going harder and harder, "say it like you mean it!" His chest felt like it was on fire as blood came welling through, "No, I never will." Lionblaze snarled. Duskstar chuckled, "you ready?" Lionblaze gazed up at him with fear, "f-for what?" Duskstar bared his teeth, "i'm gonna drop you silly."

Lionblaze looked down shaking, they were many tree lengths up in the air, he was destined to die. Duskstar unhooked his claws, he felt the world around him whirling as he fell through the trees. Lionblaze squirmed around in the air. There was no escape. "Help!" he yowled as he fell. He had never felt so hopeless. The sky became lighter and the wind became at its normal speed. Phew. He was still rapidly falling though, coming closer to the ground until... Thump!

Pain surrounded his whole body. It was unbearable. The ground below him was hard and rough, he must've landed on rocks. He squinted to see a familiar gray face. Cinderheart? "Oh no no no no, Lionblaze what happened to you?!" she shrieked digging into Lionblaze's thick fur. He groaned, "Cinderheart? D-du-dusk s-star." Cinderheart brushed her tail across his scared flank, "shh shh it's gonna be alright." Cinderheart's mew echoed in his head. The pain was only getting worse and worse. "Cinderheart.. I love.. you" Lionblaze choked out. Cinderheart burst into tears curling around Lionblaze, "I love you too." Darkness overtook him and the pain faded away.
