She put one of her arms around my shoulder and I took most of her weight, as she stumbled and tripped over her own feet repeatedly.
"Hey Olivia want to do the weight challenge like we used to?" I said.
"Sure. Why not. You'll have to take me to the gym though. I still feel a bit dizzy."
"Ok Olivia."
The weight challenge was a game where we'd both start with a certain weight on the bench press and slowly we'd add more weight and more weight until one of us couldn't take it. Then the person who wasn't on the bench would remove the weights. Last one remaining is the winner. I helped Olivia to scramble up the stairs and when we reached the top of them I led her into the gym.
"Olivia, do you want to go first?"
"Umm... Ok." Olivia lay down on the bench and got the bar in her hand.
"Ready?" I could only help but smile as the words came out of my mouth.
"Yeah. I'm ready."
"Let's start with 10kg." When we add the weight we don't do reps we just hold it. To see who can last the longest. I put 5kg on each side of the bar. She didn't look like it was too difficult yet.
"My turn!" I removed the weight and she got off. She looked like she was doing better and it was unusual since I had given her so many pills but it didn't really matter. I was gonna do what I was gonna do anyway. Not like it would be changing my motive. I lay myself down on the bench and held the bar as Olivia added the 10kg.
"Easy." I wasn't lying either it was really easy. We kept playing the weight game until it was Olivia's turn again. But this time I was going to add 50kg. She was bearly able to hold the 40kg so I had much doubt she would be able to handle 50kg. She sat on the end on the bench then lay down.
"You ready for this?" I asked her.
"Not at all. But do it anyway." She laughed. I added the weight.
"Too much. Too much weight! Get it off! I can't hold it Georgia." Her arms were shaking and get face turned as red as the blood running through her veins. Her arms started lowering. She looked worried. I picked up another four 5kg plates and put one more on each side. She was so desperate. Then I added the other two. One to each side of the bar. It fell on her. Smashing against her chest. She let out a scream of pain.
"Georgia. Please get it off me." She said sobbing. I picked up the bar off of her it allowed her to stand up.
"Why didn't you help me?" She was crying histerically.
"Oh... Woops. My bad." The look in her eyes was so confused. I just laughed at her.
"I'm sorry. I just remembered something really funny I saw this morning while eating breakfast. You good anyway. Really didn't mean to not catch the bar." I had my fingers crossed behind my back the whole time.
"Liar. You even added weight. My chest hurts. I'm really angry at you but at least take me down to the kitchen to get some ice." At least? I had done so much for her. She was being so rude.
"Of course. Anything for my best friend." I chuckled and allowed her to put her arm around my shoulder.
