chapter fifteen - hurrem

The following few days hurrem noticed a lot.

Selim had found a new concubines from the streets. She was being sold and he had taken a strong liking to her. She was named zaynap

Hurrem tried to discourage this but her son ignored her, this angered the now heavily pregnant  nurbanu who went as far as threaten her son. She would have to show this slave her place she thought.

Bayezid had formed a more strong relationship with his half siblings and she hated it. He went as far to invite ayse and her husband to him palace. She tried to say that she would be visiting that time but he said that they could still come.

Mihrimah would be visiting Mustafa, her clever daughter would be the one who brings the end to Mustafa. Murad would be next.

But her luck was not with her it seemed like, since for the next week and a half raziya and Ibrahim stayed over.

The pasha left no moment in which he didn't say anything bad about Selim or Bayezid. But mostly Selim. He went as far as to say that the sultan should visit him. To hurrem's horror he had agreed. She would need to write to him immediately she thought.

Nigar hatun had returned and was the very shadow of mahidevran, hurrem thought she would return to her but she didn't. She acted as if she was mahidevran's kalfa not someone who worked in the harem.

Mahidevran had said that she was training her until she went to work in Mustafa's harem and the sultan agreed to allow her to remain for only a few weeks.

" Mihrimah, where are you going" she asked after seeing her daughter pack her belongings.

" Valide, I'm moving into my own castle next month and tomorrow I'll be visiting Mustafa for a week. I'm making my preparations"

Hurrem cussed at herself for being so forgetful.

" Alright just stay safe and do not get caught"

She left after saying her goodbyes, it wasn't until after mihrimah left that she got the news

Selim had died of alcohol poisoning
