09: Double Trouble.

Soyeon had a fresh start the next day. She realized there was no point in thinking about Jaemin or trying to figure him out, because simply there was nothing more to him. He was the way he was and that was that - nothing less, nothing more.

Jeno crossed her mind a few times too and she cringed each time since his actions just made her despise him more and more. Just weeks ago she was still crying about their breakup, about him cheating, and missing him like crazy to the point she even thought about getting him back. Now, every time she remembered that, she gagged at how stupid she would've been if she actually did that.

That vulnerable and naive Soyeon was gone and a new, independent and confident version of her was going to attend this sports day at the campus.

She was excited and ready to sweat her ass off during competitions she was usually really good at. Hopefully she'd come back with a trophy that could decorate her little dorm room's shelf.

After getting dressed in sports shorts and a bra matched up with a pair of sneakers, she put her hair up in a ponytail, exposing her perfect jawline. Makeup was out of the picture that day - there was literally no point if she was going to sweat like a pig.

And then, off she was.

"Hey, girl! Looking good!" Nakyoung hugged her best friend as soon as they saw each other at the field outside their campus.

"You look hotter than you probably should, sis." Soyeon scanned the other up and down with a smirk on her face. "Are you going to try and seduce someone with your athletic skills today?"

Nakyoung glanced to where she immediately spotted her catch as she bit her bottom lip. "Maybe."

Soyeon chuckled and turned to make sure if she meant who she thought she meant, and of course, she wasn't wrong. But, when she noticed Jisung's best friend standing right next to him, with a camera in his hands, her face dropped a little.

Nakyoung saw the slight change in her best friend's face and added "he'll be taking pictures of the event today."

"Oh, that's cool."

"Are you ok?"

Soyeon scoffed, turning back around to Nakyoung. "Why wouldn't I be? Come on, let's get our numbers."

Soyeon worked her ass off during every game and challenge there was, focusing solely on winning or just simply doing her best.

Nakyoung enjoyed the games as well but her attention was mostly on Jisung who looked way too good doing push ups and other activities. She, unlike her best friend, couldn't focus on the sports at all.

Jaemin was glad he got asked to participate as a photographer since he didn't feel like taking a part in any of what was happening. He loved gym and gym only, running around after balls wasn't his thing.

He walked around the whole field, trying to catch interesting shots on camera, and so he did. But, not knowing why, his feet dragged him towards where Soyeon was, not doing anything at that exact moment. She sat on the grass, breathing heavily while drinking water and wiping sweat off her forehead. And that sight made Jaemin pick up his camera and snap a photo.

After that, he kept his eyes glued to the girl who had no idea she was his model once again.

He observed her for awhile and found it impressive how athletic she was - something he didn't know about her before. And that's when he realized. There was so much he still didn't know, yet whenever he saw her, his brain and stomach did weird things which he didn't understand at all. And most importantly, he kissed her. He kissed her during sex and that had never happened to him before nor left his mind ever since.
He never allowed any girl put their lips on his during something he wouldn't even call "love making" before, but now, suddenly, that description of sex came to his mind.

He snapped back into reality when Jisung wrapped his hand around the boy's shoulder, breathing heavily near his ear. "Are you sure you don't want to join us?"

"Get away, you're so sweaty." Jaemin pushed his best friend off of him, turning back again to look at Soyeon who laughed out loud with other girls in the distance.

Jisung followed Jaemin's gaze and scoffed, shaking his head.

"What?" the playboy asked after hearing the other's sighs.

"You couldn't be more obvious."

"About what?"

"That you like her, idiot?"

A scoff escaped Jaemin's lips as he bent his body backwards. "I didn't think you could be more stupid, but I guess I was wrong."

And before Jisung could argue against those words, someone suddenly tripped in front of the two, scaring the younger. He immediately bend down to ask if she was ok while Jaemin only shook his head, recognizing the girl right away.

"I'm fine, I think I tripped over something." Nakyoung chuckled nervously.

"Here, let me help you up."

The girl glanced down at Jisung's helping hand awaiting hers to grab. She smiled and as soon as they touched, she felt butterflies fill her stomach. That was definitely not the way she wanted to get her crush's attention, but at least it was something.

"Thanks, it's the second time you're helping me out."

Jisung furrowed his brows as he focused on the girl's face. As soon as he remembered, he snapped his fingers. "Oh! You're the girl from the party back then? When Jeno was bothering you?"

Nakyoung nodded, chuckling as a blush started to paint her cheeks.

"You should quit getting yourself in trouble so I don't have to save you."

Jaemin pressed his lips together to prevent himself from bursting out laughing. He could never take Jisung flirting seriously and that was just another example of exactly that.

Nakyoung giggled as her cheeks already reddened incredibly.

"Wait, aren't you also a friend of Soyeon?" the younger boy furrowed his brows and as soon as she nodded and glanced at Jaemin with hatred in her eyes, Jisung turned to his best friend with a smirk on his face. "How about we go out on a double date?" he glanced between Nakyoung and an already annoyed Jaemin.
