Jaemin breathed heavily while he laid drenched in sweat, with the covers completely thrown on the floor. He looked around before sitting up abruptly and hiding his face in his palms. The very first romantic dream he's ever had and Soyeon was the main lead along with him. The images of the two laughing, hugging, kissing and walking hand in hand portrayed before his eyes even when he closed them in hope to deny them completely.
He quickly grabbed a towel and rushed towards the bathroom, desperately needing the water to wash away those ridiculous thoughts.
As he walked without paying attention to the surroundings, he bumped into someone whose soft voice immediately began to whisper words he once loved to hear. But when Jaemin pushed the blonde girl away, she scoffed in disappointment while almost bumping into another girl herself.
The other girl in question was no other than Soyeon, standing almost frozen as she just witnessed the biggest playboy saying no to an obvious and easy catch.
"Here you are! Let's go to class." Nakyoung linked her arm with the other's, asking if everything was alright to which of course she only got a nod in response.
While Jaemin let the water drip down onto his whole body, he leaned over the wall, desperately trying to get Soyeon out of his mind. But even as he looked down at his chest, the image of her placing small kisses on top of it came to view. He wanted to scream but instead grabbed a shampoo bottle and started washing his hair abruptly, almost scratching his head to the blood.
He's never been in love, hell - he never believed in love. Everyone who was obsessed with romance was just a joke to him, something to make fun of and despise as much as he could. Maybe it was because his parents have been the worst example of love or maybe because he's never felt anything genuine to any of the girls he's been sleeping around with. There might've been more than one reason, but it didn't change the fact that Jaemin and love didn't go hand in hand - it couldn't, especially not now.
With the forced thought of forgetting about Soyeon and all those intimate times they shared, Jaemin attended PE class with a fresh mind - or so he thought.
Whenever Jisung asked about the girl and what happened between the two so that he didn't even want to hear her name again, Jaemin told his best friend to respectfully shut the hell up.
And of course, just as Jaemin tried to get back to his old self, the teacher announced shared PE class, which only meant one thing - Jeno was going to be there too.
When the boy walked on the basketball court along with his other classmates, he smiled from ear to ear, almost like he didn't have anything to cry about at all. And as soon as he noticed Jaemin, the smile turned into a confident smirk that made the other clench his fists.
What am I doing? I don't fucking care. Jaemin thought, letting his hands relax as he tried to convince himself Soyeon meant nothing.
Jeno wouldn't look away at all, smirking at the one he began to dislike as well. Jisung didn't even question anything anymore and kind of connected the dots on its own. And then, the teacher said to form in teams.
