Y/n pov:

I texted ash once again, still no reply.

Sliding my phone back into the pocket of my jeans, I make my way up the stairs to his house.

Me and ash had made plans to see each other today when I was done with school, but when I texted him to check if it was still alright this morning I had got left on delivered. I wasn't angry or annoyed just slightly worried about him.

I had decided it was still ok that I came round, because if there was a serious reason why I would need to stay away he would have definitely made me aware.

My heart pounded in my chest as I knocked on his front door, silently hoping a happy and healthy ash would open the door apologising that his phone broke or something silly like that. But instead I was met by a worry faced fez who gave me a tight lipped smile before welcoming me inside quickly trying not to let the heat from the house escape into the cold autumn air.

I placed my bag by the door and slid off my shoes as fez began to speak.

"Y/n, thank god you're here I have never seen ash so ill. I think he must have the flu or something." he explains, flopping onto the sofa "Have you given him any medication?" I ask, deciding to get to work making ash feel better instead of worrying about him.

While fez explains to me what he had done in his attempts to tend to his brother, I grabbed one of the trays they kept for when they wanted to eat dinner on the sofa and put some water and anti- sickness tablets on it. Along with some plain crackers to try get some form off food into ash, even if it didn't stay there for long. Before thanking fez and heading to Ashtrays room.

I gently pushed the door open, trying not to scare the sleeping ash awake.

I see him curled up, knees tucked into his chest as he clung onto the pillow from my side of the bed. He was facing away from the door so I could not see his face and whether he looked pale or not.

Softly placing the tray on his bedside table, I made my way to sit on the edge of the bed. "Ash... Honey, can you wake up for me?" I whisper while delicately stroking his clammy cheek, which suggested to me that he did in fact have a fever.

After a few more attempts to wake him up, he groaned slightly stretching his aching limbs out before sitting up against the headboard of his bed.

"How are you feeling, my love?" I ask while handing him the pill and water, which he gratefully accepted. "Crap" he yawned "sorry I didn't reply to your message I did mean too I just fell asleep" he adds on, smiling nervously.

"Don't worry about it" I reply while standing up, leaning down to give him a kiss on the head before heading back out the room to let him get back to sleep.

I slurped some of the broth off of the wooden spoon, humming slightly at the taste, turning the hob off and grabbing a plate.

I learned to make this soup when I was 9 and had been left by my parents while they were at work. It had been a boring day and the cooking show had been playing in the background as I coloured in my colouring book. Obviously I had decided to try a new activity and created the first recipe that popped up on the tv. That happened to be the soup, I have improved greatly since then and it happened to be one of ash's favourites so I hoped it would cheer him up a little bit.

I had managed to get ash out of bed and to the kitchen table, just so he could stretch his legs and so I could go change the sheets on his bed. Once I was done dishing up his food and cleaning up his room, I dragged him over to the sofa so we could watch the movie he promised he would watch with me.

We were around half way through the movie when ash started yawning again. I put his head on the pillow that was in my lap and covered him with the knitted blanket that was on the back of the sofa so he could get comfy.

"Y/n"

I look down, only to be met with his weary eyes and a content smile. I hum in response so he knew I was listening.

"Thank you for everything, I love you" he mumbles before rolling back over to face the tv.

"I love you too ash" I say before also drifting off to sleep.
