6. Wedding day pt2

Charisma stood back away from everyone. She could see the kids at the front and the restless younger grandkids, how they had all grown was beyond her. She raised a little smile for all of them.

Her eyes then turned to the front, she saw Keegan standing there and she swallowed hard, she had given the majority of her life to that man. He still turned her on, she hated how her body reacted to seeing and being near him, how she still found him sexy and masculine, he was after all in essence everything that she had wanted in a man apart from the violence.

She then looked at Alana, smiling all over her face as she joined Keegan at the front. She watched her daughters give her to their father and sit down with the others.

She was brought to her senses as the pastor spoke. "we are joined here today to celebrate the life long commitment that Keegan and Alana are prepared to devote to each other...

Charisma couldn't even hear the words she just watched as they looked at each other, lovingly.

"... Alana would you like to speak your vows to Keegan..."

Alana turned to face Keegan, she was a bag of nerves. She cleared her throat. "Keegan, when I first met you I was instantly drawn to you. I know that I want to spend the rest of my life with you, being your wife and loving you. I knew it from that day when you hit my car." Laughs came from the guests. "I will honour you and I will never turn my back on you. I promise to be your best friend, your confidant and lover, through the good times and the bad... come what may.. I love you..."

The pastor looked at Keegan. Keegan then took Alana's hands in his. "Alana, what can I say... you have grounded me and changed me beyond my own recognition.. I didn't even know it was possible to feel how I feel right now... but I know this, I promise to love you, be there for you and above all else I promise I will never, ever hurt you... you're beautiful and all that I need in my life... and I want us to be together forever, friends and lovers... come what may..."

Charisma hurt hearing him tell her he would never hurt her. It still wouldn't register with her that she was the only one that he had ever felt the need to be derogatory towards and physically violent with since they first got together.

".... If anyone here knows of any reason why these two should not be married, please speak now or forever hold your peace..
The whole room was silent and everyone looked at each other but no one said a word.
Tonya sniggered as Nash was about to say something for a joke and she stopped him. Keegan just looked at his uncle and rolled his eyes.
The pastor smiled. "I now pronounce you man and wife.... You may kiss the bride..."

Keegan smiled and pulled her in close and looked into her eyes before he kissed her. Everyone cheered and applauded them.

Valentina looked back at everyone cheering behind in the seats and as she did she spotted Charisma standing by the door. "Nana.... NANA!.." she called.
Venice looked in the direction that she was pointing and lots of people turned.

"Oh god no." Alana said as she saw Charisma standing right at the back of the venue.

Keegan slowly turned his head and looked at her, he narrowed his eyes as he couldn't believe it was her and he couldn't rake his eyes off of her.

"Mom?..." Lani said, and all the whispers and gasps from the guests could be heard all around them.

Charisma stepped forward it was too late to hide now she had been seen by everyone. She looked at Keegan and Alana. "Don't mind me.. I'm happy for both of you... I hope he treats you well Alana... I hope he is good to you... I hope that he doesn't send his next best friend to end your life as he did for me..."

"What?.." Nash said and looked at Keegan with his brow furrowed.

"Oh yeah... Keegan is a real stand up guy... tell them Keegan... tell them why Wesley died that night... why he was there in the first place at my place of business ... tell them the reason why I left my entire family behind..." she said looking at him.

"Mom... you need to leave now!.." Lani said walking up to her and pushing her back toward the door. "YOU ALWAYS GOTTA RUIN EVERYTHING... dad is happy... why the fuck can't you see that... why come back now.. why come here today and make his day all about you..." she snapped.

"... naw... tell us C.." Nash said. "Why was Wesley there...

Charisma looked at Keegan. "He needs to tell you himself..."
She tossed a wrapped gift onto the table next to the door with the guest book on it. She then turned and left.

Charlotte sat with her jaw almost on the floor as she had just seen her mother for the first time. Lena ran out of the place after her sister. "Charisma... CHARISMA!." She called.
Charisma stopped and turned to see Lena looking at her with tears running down her cheeks. "My baby sister... I have been so worried about you."

"There is no need to worry.. as you can see I'm fine..." she continued on to the car.

Lena went after her and pulled her to face her. "C.. please, don't just go again... you deserve to be here... your kids need you, I need you... what the hell happened... please tell me?.." she begged her.

"He sent Wesley to plant a device under my car..." she paused. "he wanted to kill me Lena... he wanted me dead... and I was so sick of running and nothing ever getting resolved... and I hurt RIGHT HERE!.." she screamed in tears pointing to her chest.
She looked over her shoulder and saw Keegan.
"I'm going...

"C... don't go..." Keegan said.

"Fuck you!." She said to him with venom.

"Still a selfish mother fucker I see!." He said through gritted teeth.

Lena squared to him. "Back off Keegan... go back to your wife... before I walk in there and tell your father and your uncles how you tried to have your ex wife killed!."

"Don't come back here Charisma Chavez-fucking- Reynolds... you are not FUCKING WANTED HERE!... YOU HEAR ME!.." he yelled in pure anger, shock and frustration. As she got in the car and was taken away at speed.
He turned and put his fist through the window of the car next to him causing the alarm to go off, bringing more people outside to see what was going on.

Lena beckoned Jenson and Nash over as they came outside. "What the hell son!." Jenson snapped.

"You better take him to one side and fucking talk to him now!."
Lena said and she hurried away from them to make sure the kids were okay.

"... she just turns up... after a fucking year of going ghost.. today of all fucking days.." Keegan said pacing.

"You got married today son.. you need to calm the fuck down... Alana doesn't want to see you like this.." Jenson said.

".... Tell us Keegan.. why was Wesley at C's trap in Saudi that night?." Nash said just staring at him.

Keegan looked at his uncle. ".. get outta my face Nash I swear down now... get outta my face..."

Lani hugged Alana. "Dad will be fine, she always winds him up... she chooses her moments she needs to be centre of attention.. but don't let it take anything away from the fact that he put a ring on your finger today Alana... you're what he wants....
