22. Viable threats

Keegan headed to meet Venice. He had told her that he needed to see her urgently. He pulled up and walked into the bar. She smiled.
"Shouldn't you be in the hospital." She said as she gave her dad a hug.

"You know me... I don't give up...

"Stubborn... exactly where I get it from..." she pointed to a Henny on the rocks. "I got you one in." She added.

He sat next to her. "When was the last time you saw Orion?.."

"Yesterday..

"What!.."

"He came by to see Ty... why?.." she asked confused.

"Payton is in the hospital...

"Oh my god, what happened?.."

"She took a drugs overdose... she thought it would be a quick way to end her pregnancy...

"She's pregnant again!.. wow...

"Yeah she is..." he paused. "The father is Orion..
Venice just stared at him.
"I needed you to know.. I'm sorry..."

"Why would she do that with him... why would he do that with her.. the aunt of his son?.." she shook her head. "you know this is payback, this is his way of getting back at me because I chose Angel over him... But that was on him, he was doing nothing at the time to want to be with me, he left me alone, and didn't even fight for us... All the time he's been talking to me about Ty, and smiling in my face, he's been fucking my baby sister!.. just.. WOW!.." she grew angry. "What the fuck is wrong with Payton... she has gone so far off the rails...

"She is lucky yo mama didn't kill he today.. she said some fucked up stuff to her... I've cut her off.. she wants to act grown, she can go and be grown... But Orion will be dealt with, she is just 18 years old, he's a grown ass man, and she has the fucking mind of a 14-year-old... So I believe that he prayed on her..."

Venice sighed. "Payton is beyond help right now... and do with Orion what you will.. he deserves it, she is child like, by the looks of it I had a lucky escape..

"Yeah, from the frying pan into the fire." Keegan sniggered.

Venice stared at him. "Don't do that dad... me and Angel are good and I need him.. you should swallow that hard headed pride of yours and make amends you can't deny that you worked well together... and with Wesley gone you could do with him as an ally..."

"We both did dirt Venice... maybe we should meet half way.. what happened with me and him wasn't all on me.." he said. "But listen, I want to know that you're okay... with this Payton and Orion business?."

"Well, obviously it is not okay.. but I'm not with him.. I just hope she works out her shit cos she needs to..." she grabbed her dads hand. "Thanks for coming to tell me personally though... you know I love you and mom dad... Payton will change eventually.. that is the trouble... Harlow, Keane, Leyton, Payton and Jaxon had it easier than the rest of us... they're spoiled and it shows...they didn't have the hardships and experiences the rest of us did.. but one by one they are learning... Payton will eventually learn too.." she looked at him. "Dad, I hope you can fight this tumour... I don't wanna lose you.."

"I am going to hold on as long as I can... I wanna savour every single moment that I am here right now... I love all of you, and I know I have been an ass to you in previous years... But you need to understand I am so proud of you, I love you And you are everything that I dreamed you would be and more... At least I know with you, you have your head screwed on and you know where you are going and what you want.. and yo kids are so privileged to have you as their mother... okay?..."

She walked round to where he was and she hugged him tight having a few tears into his shoulder.

Miguel pulled over and everyone got out of the car at a cabin deep in the Rockies. Charisma led the way and she opened the door to see her sister and Nash there. She gave Lena a hug.
Hassan walked in and his face dropped.

Nash rubbed his hands together. He smiled. "Well, well.. look who the fuck it is.."

Hassan sighed. He looked at Charisma. "I'm gonna sit this one out..." he walked outside and Charisma went after him.

"Hey... No you're not... Hassan, will you put what happen behind you we have to work on this...

"I can put it behind me, but he's not gonna put anything behind him... Everyone knows what Nash Taylor is capable of and in that head of his he is already plotting my end...

"He's a lil more business minded than that...

" I did not know he was in that chat, like I did not know that you were in there... The last thing I wanted to do is cause friction between me and the Taylor mafia..."

"What are you telling me for, you need to explain that to him, when the time is right! Business is more important right now..." she shook her head at him. "Hassan, grow some fucking balls and get in there, you really aren't shaping up to be the man that I thought you were... I had a lucky escape... because if I'm in it for the long run I need a real man."'she told him.

He looked at her for a second and then he stormed inside. Everyone looked at him. "Nice of you to join us Hassan...

Charisma walked back in and Kaylan looked at her. Nash noticed the look between Kaylan and Charisma, it took him aback, there was a spark there for sure, he hadn't seen it since she had looked at him that way a long time ago.
"Okay... the threat is from someone who knows Wesley, Keegan and Ryan... there aren't many that know that they used to roll together as a team... I'm not ruling anyone out for this... but I will protect my kids and my husband... my, my ex husband." She said correcting herself.

"Okay, so who are you thinking?.." Nash asked her.

"It has to be someone close to Keegan... someone who has it in for him, who wanted to raise this hell, and make him the soul target and all of his family... true family... including all of you..." she looked at Kaylan. "Tell them.."

"We have sources who have told us about some encrypted software which has been compromised that belongs to Keegan... we checked it out and it's true.. he has been watched for a long time.. from a distance as have all of you... we intercepted a drone a couple of hundred yards from Keegan's house, the owner of the drone has the last name Fraser.. we can eliminate Keegan and we can eliminate the kids with his name... whoever is watching him and gathering Intel on him is a Fraser... and the software DNA is registered to Larinda Holdings....

Nash's furrowed his brow. "What?.. Larinda was his mother... his adopted mother...

"Yep." Charisma said. "This threat is to do with the Fraser family.. the real Fraser family..."

"Ain't most of em dead?.." Lena said.

"Yeah... but with what we've seen over the years... this is why I can't rule anyone out..." she said and she knew exactly what she meant....
