@lxnelygirl: I know Elliot's my friend and all, but it's just weird. Like, he knows about my sister and all, but that's it. He doesn't know about everything else at home; he doesn't know that I feel like an outsider in my own home. He doesn't know how alone I feel. He doesn't know about the thoughts that run through my head...
@lovelylucy: I get that you don't just unload everything about your life right away onto a new friend's shoulders, but you had no problem telling me. I'm not saying I didn't want to know. I'm glad you trust me enough to tell me and all, but what's the difference?
@lxnelygirl: To be honest, you're different. For some reason, I find it so easy to talk to you and tell you everything.
@lovelylucy: Getting to know you the past few weeks have been great :)
@lxnelygirl: It has been amazing! Now, how're things with Flynn?
@lovelylucy: I haven't really talked to him since that day...
@lxnelygirl: Since your dad?
About two weeks ago, Lucy didn't message me for three days and I was really worried about her. When she finally came back on, she told me that she was gone because it had been ten years since her father's death. She mentioned how close her father and her were and how it was just her and her mom now.
Lucy had told me because she wanted to unload, just get everything off her chest. She wanted to stop the pain, the hurt, the sorrow. Later, she let me know that doing so had actually made her feel better. I, being an emotional person, had started tearing up when she told me. However, when she told me had passed away due to suicide, I had completely lost it and broke down crying.
@lovelylucy: Yeah. He's called, texted, even banged on my front door, but I couldn't face him. He's left countless voicemails and I've listened to each and every single one. I miss him, but I'm hurt...
@lxnelygirl: I understand that you're hurt, but Luce, are you okay without your best friend?
@lovelygirl: You're my best friend.
@lxnelygirl: You know what I mean.
@lovelygirl: I do miss him, I really do. I am not okay without him.
@lxnelygirl: Then talk to him, go find him.
@lovelygirl: I can't. Look, we graduate in a little less than a month. After that, I'll be going to NYU and he'll be staying here to go to FSU. Why try now?
@lxnelygirl: If you two are meant to be, friends or more, you'll know. I think you two should sort this out. I just want you to be happy.
