Chapter 1

The winds blew cold through the halls of Winterfell as the staff prepared for the king's arrival. It was early in the morning and Erina took her usual walk to the Godswood, she could hear the birds singing their usually morning song. She sat in the spot she and her father had prayed in many times before and she bowed her head. Once she finished her morning prayer she heard the crunching of leaves behind her and saw her twin Robb standing there.
"I believe mother wishes to see you in fathers study." He said with his head down afraid of her reaction.
"Oh I can't wait, with my luck it's another marriage offer." She rolled her eyes but stood and took her brothers arm. He walked her to their fathers study and she walked in. Her father Lord Eddard Stark was sitting at his desk her mother, Lady Catelyn Stark pacing in front of the fireplace.
          "Erina have a seat" her father said gently as her mother walked over and stood behind her father. Her mother took a breath and began.
"Erina you have rejected every marriage offer given to you and only the gods know why. You have passed your nineteenth name day and still are not married. You must marry and I will not allow you to reject every Lord in Westeros. There is an offer from a lord in the Reach. You will accept his offer in 2 fort nights if you do not receive another. The royal family arrives today you are the oldest daughter of house stark you will act like it." Her mother finished and Erina was furious, she did not want to marry a lord in the reach she wanted to stay in the north, her home. She rose from her chair and before her father could finish telling her to stop she ran from his study. She ran to the Godswood and spent the following hours avoiding her family. It was almost midday when she heard the castle come to life with panic as the king arrived. She ran through the crowds and stood between her brother Robb and sister Sansa. She then noticed her littlest sister Arya following behind her with a helmet and she laughed but her humor was cut short by her other sister.
" You choose the day the prince is coming to sulk and be late?" Sansa said rolling her eyes. Erina ignored her and turned to Robb, she began to tell him their mothers plan for her when the King rose up on his horse and all of winterfell kneeled for him. The king walked up to her father and motioned for him to rise so he did and everyone else followed.
"Your grace." Her father bowed his head to the king. The king looked him up and down and said
         "You've got fat." There was a pause and her father gestured to the king himself and both began to chuckle. The greetings followed starting with her mother, Robb, her, Sansa, Arya, and Brandon. As the queen approached her father, Erina noticed a member of the kings guard remove his helmet and she realized it was Jaime Lannister, the queens twin brother. She heard Sansa and Arya going back and forth. Then the king requesting to se the crypt, she had heard of his love for her aunt Lyanna. The queen tried to stop him but the king and her father left anyway. As the courtyard began to disperse Erina ran before her mother could bring up the previous topic. She knew the feast would be in a few hours and she wasn't needed till then. She wanted to go to the Godswood but she knew her mother would look there instead she went to the old tower. She was in the top of the tower for a few hours before she heard one set of footsteps.
      "If you are hear to tell me to stop being angry at mother or to go to the gathering before the feast don't waste your breath Robb." She snapped not even looking at the top of the stairs.
"Well I suppose I had no intention of saying either of those things." She turned to the unfamiliar voice and was terrified to see the queens twin brother Ser Jaime Lannister. As she began to panic she was supposed to be a lady of house Stark and she just disrespected the queens brother.
"My lord I'm so sorry I thought you were my brother I never would've said that I apologize I" She began to babble on but he cut her off.
"My lady it is alright this is your home I imagine this is your hiding spot I'm sorry to have invaded it. I was just exploring the castle. You do not owe me an apology." He said approaching her calmly she felt relieved. Everyone knew his other name "kingslayer" she had heard it whispered when he first removed his helmet in winterfell. She had never understood why he was villainized for killing the mad king. Jaime watched her and he noticed she didn't look at him like he was a monster, he didn't know how he felt about it but he knew he was relieved. He stood close to her and then bells ring meaning the feast was about to begin.
"My lady may I escort you to the feast?" He asked offering his arm she took it. "Yes thank you ser." They walked down the tower and to the great hall. There was laughter and music from the room, Jaime began to approach the main doors when Erina stopped. "Would it be alright if I snuck in through the back ? My lord I fear my mothers wrath when she realizes where I've been." Jaime laughed for the first time in forever he truly laughed. "I respect that my lady but I do hope you will save me a dance." She nodded and went around the great hall. Jaime entered through the main door attracting the attention of a few but the eyes he noticed most were his twin sisters she was glaring daggers into him. He forgot she wanted him to find a spot for them to meet that was why he was touring the castle but he got so distracted by Erina he forgot to find her. Erina walked in and sat with her brothers for a bit but as much as she tried to hide her mother still saw her. "Erina dear come here" her mother bellowed at her. She walked up to where her mother was sitting with the queen she curtsied the way she was taught and smiled. "You're very beautiful little wolf." Cersei said looking her up and down. "Thank you your grace." Her mother rose from her seat "Forgive me your grace but if you'll excuse us I must speak to some of our guests." Cersei nodded and they curtsied. Walking away Catelynn led Erina around the room greeting different guests. The entire time Jaime couldn't help but watch her, he was infatuated with her. Catelynn stopped in the back of the hall away from the crowds. "Tonight you will talk to the lords if you get a better offer then you will accept if not you will marry the lord from the Reach." She snapped and Erina looked furious "I will not." She turned around and stormed off again. She ran out into the court yard and she heard someone calling her name so she ran, she ran out to the Godswood but still heard someone so she kept running. She stopped to take a breath and felt someone behind her when she turned it was Jaime.
