"You can take a seat over there in the dining room I'll be right back I'm going to get the cold drinks I left in the fridge"
"Good morning" James said. as soon as I heard his voice I looked up in shock

"Hi, um how did you know I'll be home today"
"Your mom told me that your boss tried calling you but couldn't get through so he called your mom and told her that the coffee shop won't be opening today"
"Oh okay, um why are you standing, take a seat"
"Thanks" he said and took a seat

"You look tired did you sleep well, babe"
"Shhhh, my mom, haha, will you ever forget"

"Here's the cold drinks" mom said placing the cold drinks on the table.
"What are you two whispering about"
"Nothing" James and I said at the same time
"Ahh, children" mom said jokingly
"Okay let's eat now, Emma why don't you serve James. Jame, I hope you eat casseroles"
"Oh, wow, it's actually one of my favourites"
"Lovely, I hope you enjoy mine, ooh and I always make salads for my meals, so I hope you eat salad"
"Yes I do, my mom also loves to have our meals with salads"
"Here you go is this okay or is it too much" I said giving James his plate with two slices of casserole.
"Nope, it's okay, thanks Em"
"You're welcome"
"Here you go, mom" I gave mom her plate with one slice of casserole, my mom isn't much of an eater.
"Thanks, sweetie"
"You're welcome" I said then put two slices of casserole in my plate and sat down so I can eat
"Mmm, this is so delicious" James said already done with one slice of his casseroles
"Glad you like it, I'll pack some for you so you can take home"
"You don't have to"
"If you don't take it then I wouldn't believe that you like it" mom said jokingly
"Mmm, okay then I'll take it, and I really do love it"
"Okay I believe you" mom winked "Ahh, please excuse me I don't feel so good, I'll just lay down a little bit, please stay as long as you want, oh and Emma made the dessert herself it looks amazing I'm sure you'll love it, I'll pack some casserole for you to take home"
"Sure, thank you so much"
"You're welcome, and as I said stay for as long as you want, it was really nice having you here James" she smiled then went upstairs to her room
"Mmm, your mom's cooking is the best better than our cook and all the restaurants I've been to"

"My mom doesn't cook she used to cool for me when I was small but stopped when my sister was born"

"Okay fine, yeah I'll get it, it's in the fridge" I got the dessert and gave James we both had one then cleaned up the table did the dishes and then went outside and had another round of dessert and talked and he finally convinced me to act like myself so we were cool with that topic, it was 7:10 And James left, mom was sleeping and I watched some TV and fell asleep on the couch.
