Chapter Seventeen - New Year, New Feeling

Another new year with a new upcoming schedule with many more opportunities for the girls and I.

Last week YG had thrown a huge New Year's party for not only the idols, producers and instructors in the company, but also for the other entertainment companies such as Big Hit, SM and JYP.

It was a lot of fun and the girls and I got to meet so many new people, including SM's girl group Red Velvet and JYP's Twice.

I was a bit shy to be around all of these female idols, especially these two groups as I was already a big fan... and, because they're extremely pretty.

God I was a blushing mess that night as I had received so many comments and compliments from the groups unnie's like Irene and Nayeon.

Them just telling me how adorable I was, come on like that wouldn't make me blush.

Even though I was shy with the unnie's, I was instantly comfortable with their maknae's Yeri and Tzuyu as they were surprisingly the same age as me. The three of us are 99 liners except once again I'm still the youngest, as Yeri is a March baby and Tzuyu is a June.

Regardless it was great meeting people my own age and no longer feeling a bit out of place because of my age, the three of us also talked about planning a day we could hang out together.

That night Jennie and Jisoo immediately became really close with the other unnie's of Red Velvet and Twice, which made sense as the chemistry between them was amazing.

Since I'm still underage the company didn't allow me to drink. I didn't mind though as I've just never been drawn to alcohol, but I can't lie that I wasn't a little curious and drawn to the champagne the girls were drinking that night.

The girls noticed my curiosity towards the alcoholic drink, and Jennie being Jennie decided to sneakily pass me her glass to try. The taste was bright, refreshing and a bit fruity. I honestly liked it and almost went in for another sip until Jisoo stopped me and took the glass away from my grasp.

Such a buzzkill.

So overall the rest of the night I had to just stick with sparkling water or soda, at least I got to experience what champagne tasted like and I liked it.

Beside from meeting new acquaintances, I also got to catch up with old ones too, like Hanbin oppa after so long. It was great catching up with him again and knowing that he's been doing well with his other members of Ikon.

I'm extremely proud of him as he is of me as well, but sadly to say the least.. Hanbin still hadn't fully gotten over his feelings for me.

To be honest, I thought his feelings would have completely disappeared by now as we haven't talked or hung out like we used since our trainee days, but I guess not.. and that still breaks my heart.

In movies during the count down on new years, couples usually kiss as soon as it hits one. Very cliché, but also adorable.

Shockingly to say.. I did receive a kiss that night, but not on the lips, just a small peck on the cheek. It was from Hanbin oppa.

It really caught me off guard but at the same time I found it sweet. He gave me a small smile afterwards and said happy new years to me before going back to meet his other members.

In a way, I felt like that was something he had been wanting to get out of his system for a long time, and I didn't dare say anything about it to him.

I love him so much.. but I can't love him in that way, he's my brother not my lover.

Of course my members saw what Hanbin did and immediately pulled me in for questioning, but they quickly understood when I explained it was just an innocent and friendly gesture.
