Chapter Twenty - Sudden Change

Y/N's POV:

"Y/n, why aren't you eating?" Jennie's sudden question caused me to immediately look up from my plate.

"Huh?" I questioned as I made eye contact with her from across the table.

"I said, why aren't you eating?"

"I am." I said before picking up a French fry and popping it into my mouth.

"What's wrong?" She asked.

"Nothing's wrong unnie, why?"

"Because it's one of your favorites and your hardly touching it, are you feeling okay?" Suddenly Jisoo who was sitting beside me, placed her hand over my forehead to check my temperature.

"Unnie, you don't need to check my temperature. I'm fine really, I'm just somewhat tired.. truthfully.. I didn't get much sleep the other night." I honestly said.

"You didn't? Why's that?" Jisoo asked.

"I don't know.. I kept waking up throughout the night..."

"Why didn't you tell us? Or at least came into one of our rooms?" Rosé asked, her voice laced with worry as she looked at me with her soft brown eyes.

"I didn't want to disturb anyone's sleep." I said in a whisper, but knowing it was clear to hear.

"Y/n.. you know your never a bother to us, is everything okay?" Jennie gently questioned.

I instantly started to regret my words before, I'm making things too obvious, and that's not what I want. I don't want to worry the girls.

"Unnie, I promise I'm okay." I spoke with reassurance.

"Well next time, if your ever having another rough night, welcome yourself into one of our rooms." Jisoo said before playfully ruffling up my hair, causing me to playfully push her hand away. "Okay, but for now go rest. We'll wrap up your food and save it for later."

I smiled and nodded my head at her request before standing up from my seat and pushing it in.

As I made my way towards my room, I made sure to wish the unnie's goodnight before stepping in and shutting the door behind me.

"Meow."

My eyes soon landed on the happy fluffy calico who was trotting his way over to greet me.

"Hey bud." He meowed again as I bent down to pick him up.

"You hungry my fluffy man?" I asked while petting underneath his chin, he lets out a purr, indicating his answer. "Nope, you just want attention, as usual. Your seriously just as bad as Lisa." I said along with a giggle before walking over to my bed and sitting down with him in my lap.

As I continue to pet him, a sudden small knock quickly catches my attention.

"Come in." I announced before placing Koi beside me.

My eyes looking at the door opening, watching to see Lisa walked in. But I instantly notice.. she doesn't look too happy.

"Hey Li-"

"Y/n what's really going on?" She asked in a low yet stern tone, her eyes locking onto mine as she looks at me with a serious expression.

She can't know..

"Nothings wrong, why do you all keep asking me that?" I questioned.

"Because you haven't been yourself, I don't think the others really noticed, but I certainly have. Y/n.. your worrying me.. I've noticed."
