Chapter 25

~September 6th~Sat~9:37 a.m.~

~Nicki POV~

I got up and I scratched my head. I looked around on the bed and I saw Safaree sleeping peacefully then, I looked on his chest and S.J. was fast asleep. I took him and he started crying, but he stopped when he saw who it was.

Nicki:Did you get scared?

He started laughing so, I changed his diaper and when I finished, I went downstairs and saw that the girls fell asleep on the couch. I got his swinger and moved it near the kitchen table and grabbed a baby monitor and put it on the kitchen table. I decided to makes pancakes, eggs, and biscuits.

~Safaree POV~10:05 a.m.~

S.J. crying woke me up and Nic isn't the type to just let him cry. I think something is up. I put on a shirt and I went to Nickis' drawer and it's the gun that my mom got her so, I put it in my hand and I went downstairs. I saw S.J. in his swinger and heard Nicki crying and screaming. I go that direction and when I open the door, I see someone on top of her so, I shoot that person 2 times. I drop it and I run to her and she cries' into my chest.

Sherika:What happened?!

Safaree:Call the police Rika.

Sherika:Okay.

Candi:Nika are you okay?

Safaree:Nic. You have to talk.

Nicki:Why does everyone have to do this to me? I'm a good person.

Safaree:I know baby. I know. Just go to sleep.

I cradle her like a baby and rub her back and she was out in a light so, I picked her up and put her on the couch.

Thembi:Here's a blanket for her.

Sherika:Police is here.

Candi:And S.J. is still crying.

I went to him and he stopped crying. I got him out the swinger and he started playing with my chain so, I walked out the house and I saw 2 police cars and a ambulance.

PO:We were called due to a shooting?

Safaree:My girlfriend got raped.

PO:Is the man still living?

Safaree:Nah. I shot him twice.

PO:Alright. Can we talk to your girlfriend?

Safaree:Yeah. Come in.

I went inside the house and Nicki was leaning on Sherika, on the couch.

Safaree:Nic, the police are here and they're gonna ask you some questions.

Nicki:Safaree. I can't do it.

Safaree:You have too.

Nicki:Okay.

~Flashback~

I finished cooking and I turn around and Adrian was standing right there.

Nicki:Good morning Adrian.

Adrian:Good morning Onika.

Nicki:W-Why are you looking at me like that?

Adrian:I was thinking, since you and your baby daddy aren't together anymore. Maybe we could become a thing.

Nicki:Um I don't think so. You're 27 and I'm 15.

Adrian:Age is just a number baby.

Nicki:Don't call me that.
