Brùna's few days in Brazil was very much needed and she felt very happy and rejuvenated. She spent them all with her friends from her childhood, Tyla, Camila and Rio they were probably her closest girlfriends the type of friends where they dont talk every day but when they got together its like they were never apart. They were all so incredibly proud of each other and the walks of life that they had taken. They were always going to be there for each other and had promised to see each other more in the year and make more of an effort.

The difference in the Redbull team when she got back was definitely noticeable, with Daniel feeling happy that he was going to get a fresh start and the tension from both the drivers deminished for the most part, the team felt more light and airy and more like the fun, focused and high achieving team it is. Her and Daniel still had some things they needed to talk about but they both knew that it was something that was needed so they didnt feel the need to be stressed about it, they would always be in each others lives, together or not.

The Belgian Grand Prix was well underway and the weekend was looking really good for Redbull, topping all the time sheets so far it was definitely their track. Qualifying was next and again an easy sweep for redbull with a front row lockout.
When she got out the car her and Daniel went straight to each other to congratulate, the crowd was roaring because their homeboy Max in the Torro Rosso snatched P3 for the team. Brùna didnt even know until she saw his 33 car park up in front of the number 3 she was so happy for him.

"I think we need to talk Brùna" Daniel was at her hotel room door. She sighed, she knew they needed to but she wanted to live in blissful oblivion for a little longer. She let him through the door and they both sat on the bed.

" Yeah i know, I just really wanted to ignore it but i dont think we can anymore" they both had sadness in their eyes.

"You know I love you deeply right? You are one of the best things in my life, you are my bestfriend and i wouldnt be where i am today without you. But I think our love is platonic, it flowed so much more naturally when we were not together. We did basically everything a couple did but we had no obligation to one another and now we do and it doesnt really work. You dont like having to be careful around other men cause if you flirt its wrong and i dont like that either. We will always be there for each other but just not in that way." She felt so relieved hearing him say that. Like a huge weight was lifted from her shoulders.

"Oh im so glad you feel that way" She loved him wholeheartedly but they weren't meant to be together after all, they had a good few months together but there was always something in the back of their minds that something was wrong even though it felt right. They were soulmates in everyway but romantically. All the 'jealousy' they both had felt over the last couple of months was just anxiety of being obligated to one another and they both saw that now. They wanted to be together but not in that way and they knew that now. They had to be together to figure out that was what they didnt want.

"Good thing it was never really public cause now we dont have to do a big announcement or anything we can just carry on as we were" Daniel was right it was less stressful. They both felt like they could breath now and love happily.

"I hope you find someone that you can share a life with, someone it feels natural with you know?" And she really did, he deserved it he was the best person and he deserved someone to appreciate how great he was.

"Thankyou, even though you are not that person at least you get to say you experienced the greatness of Daniel Ricciardo" She laughed loudly at that and he brought her into his chest.

"Yeah I guess I do, im so glad that we tried it though, instead of forever wondering if it would of worked."

"Thats true and I just know theres gonna be some lucky guy out there whos going to sweep you off your feet and youll fall in love, start a family and live peacefully, i feel it, in my nuggens" Daniel flashed her his million dollar smile. Oh how she wished what he said was true.
