"You know, they did a really shitty job at repairing your wing." Marionette said, sewing up the shredded wing of his sister.

She nodded, trying not to move so much in case it got worse. X didn't really feel any pain but it still hurt because of the tightly pulled stitches. As her brother finished up the last of the stitching, something crashed into one of the massive trees that surrounded the cabin. Both twins stood up quickly, weapons drawn.

The thing that crashed into the tree sat up, shaking its head side to side with a weapon in one of its pale hands, the other on its raven colored hair. The being got up slowly, teeth bared as it cussed under its breath. It stopped short as its attacker emerged from the blackness of the forest.

Marionette saw Xana's eyes change and he knew she was in fight mode. Raising her handgun in the air, she fired causing the two to flinch. Once she had their attention, Marionette spoke with darkness to his voice. X's ears twitched as a gust of wind passed through the trees, no sound could be heard as silence set in.

"What are you doing here?" He asked.

"Fighting. Why?" The girl in the black dress said.

"No one knows about this place. Leave!" He said, much more venomously.

"No. I don't think I will," The girl said, smirking.

As the girl tried lunging at the taller male, a piercing static rang through the air. The two on the porch placed their hands over their pointed ears, staggering back as nausea washed over them. Black tears started spilling out of Xana's eyes as she screamed for the static to stop. She backed up too far and slammed against the wall of the cabin.

"Enough, Slender!" the raven haired boy shouted.

The static slowed to a faint hum as a tall, faceless man appeared by the two that were fighting before. Black, velvet like tendrils waved slowly behind the creature's back as he stood looming over the boy and girl.

"What is the meaning of this, Jane?" The creature said despite not having a mouth.

"Jeff started it!" Jane said, pointing a finger at the pale boy.

"I did not! I was minding my own business wh-" the boy started.

"Enough of the bullshit already!"

Jane, Slender, and Jeff look over at the cabin. The male that told the two to leave before was standing there, a blade of some sort in his hand that hung at his side. His sister was sitting against the building, huffing and wheezing as blood trickled out of her mouth. She then coughed, causing more blood to appear suddenly. Concerned for her, Slender moved closer but was stopped by the girl's brother.

"Stay away from her or I'll kill you!" Marionette said angrily while he held the now obvious sword to the man's throat.

"She's obviously hurt. Let me help her."

"NO!" He screamed, a loud roar following after.

"She's all I have left. I won't let anyone touch her!"

"M-Marion, it's alright. Let him help, ok?" The girl said, struggling to breathe as more blood trickled out of her mouth and onto her chest. She was now laying on her back, her wings gone for the time being.

Tears left dark purple streaks down Marionette's reddening cheeks. He kneeled by his twin's side as she began coughing. Helping her on her side, blood spattered onto the porch and started to sizzle on the wood.

Marionette tried hard not to bawl as Xana closed her eyes, the light of the day dwindling. He shut his own eyes as he placed his forehead on his sister's, not realizing that the faceless man was beside them.
