A cold night in a bustling city.
Snow is just beginning to fall as the late Autumn breeze chills the air.
As the dim light of the full moon and a streetlap, struggling for life, illuminate the street, a figure walks along the side walk.

This figure, a young man, holds a box in his arms. He has no shoes on his feet and his clothes are tattered and torn. Fresh healed wounds adorn his frail body and he seems almost to weak to stand.

He, however, has a mission. He needs to get this box to safety. When he spots a family vehicle park a few houses down, he watches from the shadows.

A family of four exit the warmth of their family car. The father makes his way up to the door as his wife helps their two toddlers out of the car.

"How did you two trouble makers enjoy your birthday today?" The mother asks and the children respond in excitement.

A nice warm family that the young man has a good feeling about. He knows better then to second guess his intuition and waits for the family to get inside.

Once he has waited long enough, he quietly walks up to the porch and places the box.

"Mama loves you baby, but I can't keep us both alive. I'm not strong enough. You should be safe here. I love you."

He whispers this to the box before ringing the doorbell and taking off to watch from the ally across the street in the form of a silvery white wolf, who's crystal blue eyes glow with an ethereal light.

Opening the door, the husband sees the box and peeks inside, upon seeing the contents, he brings it in.

"Honey! Someone just abandoned a puppy at our doorstep."

The wife enters and looks into the box. "Very funny Rylan, it's a human child." She says with a look of annoyance. "Who would do such a thing?" She then asks none in particular.

"Baby?" Rylan asks as his wife pulls the young toddler out of the box and holds him as he sleeps in her arms. "He was a little puppy just a second ago. I swear it. Look, theirs even some dog fur in the box." He responds, confusion clouding his face.

"Well, no matter what, it seems we have a new son. What to call him?" The wife asks and Rylan thinks.

"Jaxon."
