hyunli blushed furiously as she laid across her bed, staring at the dark ceiling above. her thoughts trailed to the softness of heeseung's lips, and she squealed, rolling around in her bed.

he kissed me he kissed me he kissed me-

hyunli's gaze landed on the pot of moonlight flower on the table, and she sat up, pressing her cold hands to her arm cheeks to cool it down.

get a grip on yourself, hyunli-ah. she shook her head, and laid back down, closing her eyes and forcing herself to not think of anything. she has to meet sunoo tomorrow afternoon for the class...

face, stop burning up!

breakfast was strangely quiet.

hyunli greeted jay a good morning, and the older gave her a small smile in greeting, busying himself over the stove. hyunli took her plate of bacon and eggs and walked over to her place, where only niki was eating.

"good morning, niki." hyunli greeted, as niki grinned at her from his plate of food. "morning, hyunli-ah. what are you going to do today?"

"i have afternoon classes with sunoo oppa... where are the others?" hyunli looked around. niki took a mouthful of his drink, clearing his throat.

"well, they are shopping. but don't you worry, sunoo hyung will come back in time for the lesson." he paused, before he lowered his voice. "any plans tomorrow?" he whispered, his eyes darting over to the kitchen before looking at hyunli again. the vampiress shook her head, and a brighter smile appeared on niki's face. "do you want to come to the arcade with me?"

"arcade?" hyunli repeated, and niki nodded. "yeah. the one at the mall, not the ones we have. it's been a long time since you're stuck here, so why not go out with me?" he said, as hyunli feel heat creeping to her cheeks. "well, you're making it sound like a date." she joked, reaching for the jug of orange juice on the table.

"i am asking you out on a date."

hyunli almost dropped the jug. "so, hyunli-ah." niki was staring at her expectantly, his palm on the side of his cheek as he leaned his elbow on the table. he leaned in towards her, his eyes shining with anticipation. "would you like to go out on an arcade date with me?"

hyunli sat on the couch of the library, staring at the shelves as a book laid across her lap.

no, something is definitely wrong with this household. 

"penny for your thoughts?" hyunli jumped, surprised at the sudden entrance of sunoo. the vampire's hair is blonde, and that distracted hyunli from thinking about niki. "your hair!"

"oh."sunoo raised his hand to touch his hair, the tips of his ears red. "i was thinking about going blonde for quite sometime, so i went to the salon... do i look fine?" he run a hand down his hair, and hyunli nodded at him. "it suits you very much, sunoo oppa. very handsome."

her compliment sent sunoo's face flushing. "well, thank you very much... shall we start our lesson?" sunoo settled in the arm chair next to the couch. hyunli put away her book, and faced sunoo.

"can you show me any of your powers?" sunoo asked. hyunli nodded, holding her hand up and concentrating.

like what she showed heeseung the day before, a jet of water shoot out from the tip of her finger, and hyunli manipulated the stream of water with her hands, making it twist and turn in the air. sunoo watched the water for a while, and hyunli clapped her hands together, the water disappearing.

"and erm, i can do this." she held out her right palm, her eyes narrowing as she concentrated. a small blue fire appeared, and hyunli immediately shot a jet of water on the blue fire to extinguish it. "but i cannot control it well yet."

"interesting." sunoo stared at her palm where the fire had been before. "elemental powers."

he cleared his throat, his eyes meeting hyunli's. "there are many tiers of powers a vampire could have, and you already know two types, light and darkness. other than those two, we also have elemental, telekinetic, and dimensional powers."

sunoo gestures to hyunli. "elemental powers are considered as basic powers a vampire could develop. like fire, ice, plants. heeseung hyung, jake hyung and sunghoon hyung has elemental powers. so do i, since i have the gift of animal language. the next tier is telekinetic abilities, like sunghoon hyung, he can read minds. jungwon and niki also fall under that category. dimensional abilities, like jay hyung's teleportation and my shape shifting abilities. then we have darkness and light, with darkness able to control minds and several other... dark things, and light powers, being able to heal, or remove pain."

"the purer the blood of a vampire, the more and higher tiers your powers get. when we develop a power, it normally takes up around half a century to even master the basics of it. some of us pick them up faster, while some needed some more time. so you being able to do this little trick in a span of less than three months..." sunoo smiled, and hyunli returned it. "i guess i'm gifted?"

sunoo shrugged. "i guess you can say that. but i believe it is also due to your bloodline." he paused a little, before moving on.

"right now i would say that it's possible for you to develop two or three more powers. taehyung hyung had around seven and eun noona around five, so i guess... maybe five or six. i suppose there's a small chance for you to develop light or dark powers, then those of the middle tier."

"light or dark? what if i develop them both at the same time?"
