"hyunli-ssi?"

hyunli looked up from the book in her hands. heeseung was standing by the library entrance, and she closed the book, standing up. "heeseung-ssi? what's wrong?"

"oh, nothing. i thought... i couldn't find you in your room..." the vampire muttered, scratching his head.

hyunli scanned him.

heeseung's pants and boots was smeared in mud. he was wearing a long sleeved shirt, and a hat. hyunli then remembered, that jake mentioned heeseung having a greenhouse at the top of the mansion.

"ah, were you in your greenhouse?" hyunli asked. heeseung smiled, nodding. "d'you wanna come see?"

hyunli wasn't expecting this.

her eyes weren't on the greenhouse on the left, but on the freaking "small playground" jake had mentioned to her.

"it belongs to ddeonu, but i don't think he'll mind if you use it." heeseung noticed her expression and chuckled. "i mean, ddeonu can be a pesky little devil, so most of the time we just give in to whatever requests he had."

hyunli's eyes flickered from equipment to equipment. a swing, few slides, a freaking carousel, a mini shooting booth, and a- is that a ferris wheel?

"wow." that's all that she could say. heeseung gave her a knowing grin, gesturing to the carousel. "wanna take a ride? jake left the power box somewhere here..."

"no, it's okay. i can always come here later." hyunli turned back to face heeseung. "but this is so cool!"

"well, we moved these from an abandoned playfair. " heeseung said, opening the door to the greenhouse. "these way."

hyunli took one last longing look at the playground and followed heeseung. however, once she was in the greenhouse, she stopped, in awe.

many beautiful flowers adorned the place, made out of different colours and textures. butterflies fluttered around, as bees peacefully buzz by. there was a small fountain in the middle, and hyunli spot the tip of a small tent.

"this is... this is pretty..." she didn't know what to say, and heeseung puffed his chest out proudly.

"this greenhouse is cool, the glass can turn opaque or transparent. at night, when i can't sleep, i'll just come up here to stargaze." he pointed towards the small tent. "it clears my mind, you know. relives my stress."

the green-eyed teen gazed at hyunli. she was looking at the flowers in awe, and he felt his heart begin to race.

hyunli didn't notice. she was busy looking around, touching the leaves and petals lightly. she laughed, as a butterfly landed on her finger, fluttering it's wings.

heeseung's heart skipped a beat.

he thought it was ridiculous when sunghoon and jay had a total fight about hyunli at first. one that jake almost joined in. but now he could see why.
