Sarang:

I can't believe you came to meet me today and didn't bring the ring 😒😒

Yoongi:

You will get the ring soon, kid.

Sarang:

Don't kid me. And what the heck does that mean?

Yoongi:

You will know it soon 😉

Sarang:

If you're planning something weird then I will kill you 😑

Yoongi:

I am not!

Sarang:

Okay then! If you say so 😓

Yoongi:

Just rest well, yeah?! I will be busy for the next 5 days so I might not come to meet you. But I want you to take care of your health as well as my nephew's health.

Sarang:

I told you so many times that it could be a niece too. Why do you want a nephew?

Yoongi:

So that your family gets complete and Hana needs a brother, not a sister. Having another sister will get boring for Hana.

Sarang:

Well, that's true. Me and Oppa had the best bond. In fact, having a brother is the best feeling. There isn't anything like competition or fighting or too much controlling behaviour unlike brother-brother or sister-sister bond. A brother-sister bond has a perfect balance: we care about each other when required but we don't even intervene too much, esp when we know the other sibling is doing well.

Yoongi:

That's true! I felt lucky to have a sister.

Sarang:

You still have me 🙄

Yoongi:

Of course! I was supposed to write feel 🥲

Yoongi:

Alright then! Talk to you soon. Bye-bye sis!

Sarang:

Bye Oppa! ❣️

________________________

By no means I'm judging a brother-brother or a sister-sister bond. It's just, that I have always seen how in the case of two sisters, the older one automatically starts behaving as the mother of the younger sis. The same goes for two brothers where the older one starts behaving like a father to the younger one. I have too many examples of my friends as well as cousins who have similar bonds. And at times I feel there is too much intervention in these two cases.

However, I cherish my bond with my brother. Yes, I have a brother and that is why I'm biased towards a bro-sis bond. My brother was really possessive of me. He still is, just like Jimin in this book. He might never show his love and care for me, but I got to know from some people whom he used to fight with, esp some guys who used to like me. And at the same time, if he knew I was happy, he would never ask me to do anything opposite. It didn't matter if my happiness didn't last. He would still support me.

I would like to give a huge shoutout to my older brother. I know he won't ever read this book or any of my books, I know he won't ever come across this, but I just felt like sharing this. Jimin's character in this book is inspired from him and I love him dearly. I feel lucky to have an older brother.

Hence, I'm not judging any other siblings bond but I'd still say that I love a bro-sis bond. And if someone doesn't have this bond, they won't understand why I'm saying this. Gosh! I almost got emotional while writing this 😭💜
