Callie

I could hardly believe what Derek told me. "She wants a divorce?"

"She found out about us."

"How?"

"You left your bra in my room."

"Shit."

"But I in a way am happy."

"Why?"

"Because I can have you all to myself."

"Who said I would give you another chance?"

"Because I know you miss me."

"I..."

"Don't deny it, Cal."

"Okay, yes... I do, but we can't."

"Why? I can say I'm single now."

"How would I know that you'd cheat on me again?"

"Because I love you, Callie."

"How many times have I heard that? Many but that never stopped you."

"I can't say sorry enough, but look... I want to give us another chance."

"Why should I?"

"I've done everything to distract myself but that only makes it worse. I want you and only you. I want to be by your side raising our son and live a fresh life together."

"How do I know that you won't change, Derek?"

"I'm at an age where I'm done cheating, Callie."

"I'll think about it. Okay?"

"Thank you."

"I can't promise anything."

"You are worth the wait."

It would be a hard decision to make but knowing that he misses me slightly makes me happy, but I questioned if he meant it or if they were just words.

Derek

Months had passed and I questioned if buying this ring was a good idea, but it is my only way to prove that I love her and that I have changed my ways.

"You're out of your mind."

I looked at Ethan and nodded. "I know."

"How do you know that she would say yes?"

"I'll do anything to prove her wrong."

"You are making a huge mistake."

"Am I? Drake is my son and I need to spend time with him."

"But how do you think that is a good idea?"

"Because it is, man. I am doing it tonight."

Ethan rolled his eyes. "Good luck."

I was nervous, but this is my one and only chance to prove that I have changed, and I won't ever hurt her again.
