Scott's eyes narrowed as he considered what Kate and Seth had just revealed about their relationship. He couldn't shake the age difference between them, and it weighed heavily on his mind.
"You can't deny that there's a significant age gap here," Scott remarked, his voice tinged with concern. "Kate, you're still young, and he's...well, he's not exactly a spring chicken."
Seth bristled at the comment but remained calm. "Age is just a number, Scott. What's important is how we feel about each other and how we handle the challenges we face."
Kate joined in, her tone earnest. "Scott, I understand your concerns, but you've seen what we've been through. We're not in an ordinary situation. Our lives are complicated, and we need each other to survive."
Scott sighed, his protective instincts still in conflict with the undeniable connection he saw between his sister and Seth. "I just don't want you to get hurt, Kate. You mean the world to me, and I can't stand the thought of you being in danger because of this."
Richie interjected, trying to ease the tension. "Scott, we all look out for each other. We're not here to hurt Kate. We've got a code, and we stick to it."
