As Artimus and his newly found company begins to walk through the streets he hears all the noise. It reminds him of home, bringing a swift sorrow that he shrugged away. He thought of Luna the most. He pictured her in his mind, her golden white hair flowing gently, her crystal blue eyes looking into his. Sadly Artimus knew he was too shy of a person to say how he felt, some might even say he guards himself from the dangers of love. He suddenly snaps from his day dreaming when he accidentally trips over something. It was a pile of charcoal by the smithy. Hurriedly he catches up with the dwarves that rescued him.
A vision flashed in Artimus' head, it was the figure with the red mask. His sight flickered, erratically, walking, Artimus had stumbled and fell to the ground. The figure was getting closer and closer. Finally he snapped out of it, dwarves all around him looking in fright. He was shaking and scared and didn't know what was going on with his mind. One of the older dwarves hefted him up and helped him to their nearest healer.
Suddenly the cities alarm bell towers began to seemingly come to life. Distant explosions shook the ground, flashes in the sky flickered in and out in random sequences. "We don't have much time!" the elder dwarf exclaimed in a strong tone. the others swept Artimus along with them, all the while his consciousness faded in and out.
As the group ran through the streets now teeming with armored warriors and thunderous voices, they arrive at the healer. They quickly lay Artimus onto the medical cot for the healer to deal with. The elder dwarf says "Please help our friend here" the healer takes a glance all around and finally asks about what happened. One of the younger dwarfs says "He was running to catch up with us, then all of a sudden his eyes rolled back and he fell."
The healer, looking puzzled, locked eyes with the mark on Artimus' arm. He quickly ran to his shelf of books, picking one and violently flipped through the pages. He stopped on a particular page and placed it down to show the group. he said to them, "now see this symbol and how it matches the one on him!" Yes the others quickly said. they looked confused and were ready to ask about it when the elder took a note from the healer and finally said, "alright boys follow me and bring the lad with us."
