A/N: Guys another chapter updated!! This book is gonna have some lines and stuff from the movie but it's not gonna be perfect :)
Atticus POV:
We said goodbye too dad and followed worm and M.C, they keep bickering between each other than stop suddenly "why did we stop?" Jake asks "you wanted to go to the children's home right?" Worm asks and we both nod "its down their, just follow the trail" M.C says while rolling his eyes "what...? Down there??" Jake asks as I look at the boys weird "yeah, this is quickest way. You just have to go through the bushes" worm says, Jake and I look at each other, sigh and start to walk.
Jake and I walk through the bushes to see the house has been destroyed 'what happened to the kids?' Is all I can think about "what... what happened to it?" Jake asks "the German navy bombed it. Fell right through the roof" worm says and I just nod sadly "but, what happened to the kids?" I ask and the boys look confused and I haven't spoken to them yet "uhh they died, along with the headmistress" M.C said and I nodded sadly "well we're gonna go now, bye" the boys said and left.
Jake sighs "why didn't he tell me they all died? He leaves to join the army and three months later everyone he knows gets killed?" Jake asks "Jake not even grandpa would be able to turn that into a bedtime story" I say and give him a sad smile.
When they get back to the room
We get back a bit late as it's already dark outside, we enter to see dad sitting on his bed "hey boys, how was the walk?" He asks "Yeah, it was good"Jake says and I nod along "well you both should get ready for bed now, goodnight" dad says and I just give a smile and go to the bathroom to get changed.
As I hop into bed I put on my headphones and slowly drift to sleep.
The next day
I wake up to jake shaking me "atticus! Want to come back to the children's home with me? He asks and I nod "let me get changed" I say and head to the bathroom with a change of cloths.

———————————————————————— I quickly brush my teeth and grab my Walkman "I'm ready" I say and Jake nods "let's go! I like your outfit by the way Atticus it's very you" he say's and I smile "thank you" I reply and we start to walk downstairs. We see dad and decided to say bye "hey dad we're gonna go hang out with those kids, they asked" Jake say's and dad nods and smiles "all good stay safe" he say's and we both nod and start to walk to the house.
When they get to the house
"Ok, I'll explore upstairs you explore downstairs ok?" Jake says I nod pressing play to my music. I start to explore looking at photos and objects, I look in a cupboard and see jars but I can't tell what's in them "kinda cool" I whisper and turn around to see a boy staring at me I tilt my head in confusion as I'm about to say something I hear jake scream and run downstairs i sigh and run after him "jake, what's wrong?" I ask once he stops running "I saw the kids from grandpas photos" he say's out of breath "what do you mean?" I ask confused and he just shakes his head and starts to walk towards this cave.
Once we get close we hear "hello" Jake and I quickly look up and see kids standing their 'who are they?' I think than Jake's eyes go wide "you're the kids from my grandpas photos!" He say's in shock 'where's the boy from before?' I shake off the thought and continue to listen to Jake "You're Emma and the twins and Olive, Bronwyn your Millard! But you're all dead..." he say's sadly I give him a look of worry "Jake, what do you mean dead?" I ask and his eyes widen "did grandpa never tell you...?" He asks and I shake my head "they're from the stories grandpa would tell me" he say's and I nod.
"wait Emma, you called me Abe in the house... why?" He asks and the girl I now know as emma reply's "you reminded me of him" she says smiling sadly and jake nods. They continue talking but I'm not really listening all that much when suddenly Jake turns and runs "why did he run?" I ask and the girl with red hair shakes her head "I have no idea" she replies and I nod "we have to go after him before he does something stupid" Emma replies and I nod.
We end up arriving at the bar on a carriage "Millard you go in and start smashing dishes, olive you light the bar on fire and Atticus and I will wait in the carriage" Emma says and they nod and walk to the bar.
"Atticus was it? I'm emma! It's nice to meet you" she says smiling "nice to meet you too" I say and smile "why didn't Abe tell us about you?" She asks and I look at her wide eyed "oh ummm..." I go to reply but I'm cut off with the bar going up in flames 'what is happening?' I think and see olive and Jake running to the carriage "hurry! We've got to go!" Emma says.
"I can't believe you're all real!" Jake says breaking the silence I just nod along while inspecting them 'they all dress up in old clothes. The owner didn't notice us.' I feel someone tap my shoulder "Atticus come on!" Jake says smiling I nod and follow him "miss peregrine should be waiting for us" Emma says and leads the way but I can't shake the feeling that someone's watching me.
