Chapter 2: the quest

I'm surrounded by the trees I was eight years old happily playing with myself when mother rushed toward me with tears in her eyes what's wrong I said. Your father died.

"No I shout no I run to home excepting him to hug me with his open arms but he wasn't there.

I run to his room but he wasn't there. I looked at his favorite places too but I couldn't find him.

Then I rush to the Capitol building excepting him to be training but instead to find his dead body I wake up ready to scream but I stop the scream.

I sighed I have been having bad dreams about my father lately. I got of the bed and immediately I hear         the Kings voice " everybody come to the castle and nobody be late come at 5.00.

I look at my watch uh-oh it was 4:59 only one minute until 5:00 and the king didn't like anyone late especially me or Nora cause we were the king assistants infact I think meeting was pretty much about us.

The castle was miles away so I used my fire power to transport me to the castle the bad news Nora fell on me when I got there why cause she was using her power to transport too. 

"Nora did you have to land on my back it's really a pain". Sorry I guess I landed in the wrong spot Nora said.

Then we knew somebody was watching at us when we both turn our heads we saw the king looking angrily at us tapping his watch meaning I don't have time for this nonsense and I'll deal with you later look. 

We scrambled to kings chair and each stand beside his chair.

Soon the king called "order everybody order. Soon everybody got quiet . "Today we've all been informed about the attack". Everbody was nodding their heads like crazy.

The demons long ago made peace treaty with us after the war promising us not to attack us in exchange we promised to not attack them.

But now that they broke the promise it's time to take charge "Also we've been informed there was another attack that was in the village and the demons succeeded by taking 1000 hostages with them to there country.

You could see lots of people crying because there loved ones were taken. So we have decided to have people go on a quest to rescue the hostages.

But we will choose the people who are the boldest powerful dangerous. And we will choose only 5 people. You have no choice if you are chosen and if you don't want to go you will be forced. Everybody come tomorrow to see who is chosen.

Then people left until the palace was empty leaving only me, Nora and the king. Me and Nora was starting to leave  until the king said "Not so fast you two your lateness not acceptable  and I except you won't be late tommorow we both nodd our head and leave

I was hoping that the king would choose me for the quest. I sighed and then I transport myself back home only to find my mom already in the house cutting the pie.

I could tell mother was upset so I asked her"why are you so upset mother ". Oh Lanie i hope you aren't chosen for the quest. I got angry mom I have been waiting for this for Entire life. " but it is dangerous I don't want you to get hurt.

"mom I won't get hurt alright . I sigh and go to room waiting for morning finally what felt like hours i put on a black suit with soon blazed with fire. You have to wear it if you go to something very important and to represent your power.

I soon transport myself to the Capitol building
