Squeezing By

Chapter 1

Marinette and Juleka were chatting happily with one another while drinking a cup of coffee at a local coffie shop about a block or two from the Dupain-Cheng bakery.

Marinette giggled softly to herself at something the purple-hired goth girl had told her about before turning around and shifting her gaze to look out of the window.

The sky was clear and blue with a few clouds drifting about here and there. The sun was bright, the warmth seeping in through window and providing a nice golden glow against the wooden table the two girls were sitting at.

"Isn't it a nice day outside?" The pigtailed bluenette smiled brightly and turned to meet her best friend's ruby red gaze.

The purple-haired girl nodded her head and gave the shorter half asian girl a wide, predatory-like grin. "Hey Nettie, you wanna go outside and enjoy the sunshine?" She asked her with a small tilt of her head.

The shorter girl smiled back ans gave hera quick nod, letting her friend know that she agreed with her suggestion.

The two girls stood up from the table and grabbed their drinks. They payed for their things before heading out the door and finding a nice sunny spot to sit.

They took a seat next to the window they had previously been staring out of only a few moments earlier.

The two girls continued their previous conversation until something caught Marinette's eye. She tapped Juleka on the shoulder to get her attention and the two girls turned their heads to see Luka, Juleka's older twin brother.

The pigtailed bluenette smiled and waved a hand for Luka to over and join them.

Once the blue-haired guitarist had sat down, the topic of conversation suddenly changed and in hushed whispers, the three teens began discussing about how Shadowmoth had been sending out more Akumas then usual.

As they were talking, a sudden shaking made all of them fall out pf their seats. "Ugh! Speak of the devil and he shall appear with another Akuma." Marinette grumbled under her breath while shooting a glare up at the sky.

The other two glanced nervously around their surroundings before quickly grabbing their friend's hands and dashing away somewhere safe to hide and transform.

"Sass, Scales Slither!"

"Roaar, Stripes On!"

"Mullo, Get Squeeky!"

Before Marinette realized what was happening, she looked down and saw, not a red and black spotted ladybug suit but the grey and pink suit of Multimouse.

"Uh, hey, Nettie? Why are you-" Viperion started to say but was cut off by Multimouse holding up a gloved hand.

"I know I know! I called for the wrong transformation but we can't do anything about right now!" She paused for a moment before a sudden thought occurred to her. "Tikki, Mullo, unify!"

Purple Tigress grinned cheekily to herself and gave the mouse-themed super heroine a nod of approval. "I like your new look Multi, it suits you quite nicely."

Viperion also smiled at Multibug and gave her a thumbs up. "So what do you go by now little mouse?" He asked her, smirking to himself when a bright red blush spread across the bluenette's face.

Marinette smiled up at the snake-themed superhero, her bluebell eyes gleaming with mischief.

"You can call me Multibug." She replied in a matter-of-fact tone, smiling cheekily and crossing her arms over her chest. "Enough chit-chat you two, we've got an Akuma to purify and a city to save." And with that she was off, racing across the rooftops of Paris with Viperion and Purple Tigress hot on her tail.
