As I lay on my deathbed contemplating my existence, iI found myself reflecting on how I had lived my life. When it comes to jujutsu sorcery luck is as important as skill, and I was born lucky.

Blessed from birth with the coveted six eyes, I was practically guaranteed to be the absolute strongest. And make no mistake, I was quite strong (one of the strongest), but I never solidified my reign. I chose to leave the path of selfishness behind. Instead, I found a loving woman and had a few children.

I lived a long and fulfilling life and will die with no regrets. But as the darkness overtakes me and my eyes close for the last time, I can't shake off the nagging in my side, a voice asking if I could have been more.

It seemed that I had reached the end of my rope. Now submerged in pitch blackness unable to tell up from down I attempted to utilize my six eyes to gain my bearings I found that my eyes were no longer blessed.

“Ah, so this is the afterlife?”

My voice sounded strange and muffled. This certainly was not the fiery inferno that some religions spoke of, nor was it a lovely paradise, perhaps it was just purgatory. How sad, to be aware but also clueless, forever trapped for an unknown amount of time. I was not sure how long I spent in this state, but I do know that eventually, a small light began to glow before rapidly expanding.

Muffled voices and screams and exertion began to resound all around me. I felt myself being pushed toward the opening before entering into the utterly blinding light.

My eyes darted rapidly taking in the new stimuli. The first thing I realized was how utterly small I was. And of course, taking note of how large the other occupants were.  I was quickly scooped up by a well-built young man who kissed me. Looking at his facial features, I could tell he was a foreigner likely from Europe. Then my face was filled with another giant, a female with red hair and a maid outfit. It was becoming clearer that I had for whatever reason been granted a rebirth. Before I could attempt to take in my surroundings an utterly draining tiredness overcame me before blacking out.

This was an interesting occurrence. I had spent the last few weeks contemplating the situation I was in. The vernacular these people spoke was not related to any language I had learned back in my world. Thankfully, I had been born into a low-mid nobility family. The house we resided in was 2 stories with a library. The inhabitants numbered 4 when I was included.

The first was my “mother” who constantly attempted to smother me with love and affection. I felt bad that I would never be able to replicate her love. I apologise for snuffing out and replacing the life of your actual child. The man, her husband was also loving but I could also tell he was not the smartest of the bunch.

The most problematic was the maid. It was not a surprise that she saw through my act. My parents were so blinded by their love that they could not see my strange behaviour, but the maid seemed very aware.

She had likely nursed multiple children and quickly noticed my oddities. But no matter, I doubt she would be much of an issue. She appeared loyal to my parents and would likely keep her mouth shut. As a baby, my first goal was to learn the language as fast as possible and attempt to gain as much information on this world as I could. The first (baby) step toward becoming the strongest. How thrilling.

7 months had come and gone and so I was granted the ability to crawl. Due to being immobile for the past half a year, I continuously goaded my mother into carrying me everywhere allowing me the chance to observe their conversations and notice the tone and way they spoke.

Thanks to such careful observation, I managed to gain a fundamental understanding of their language and who the inhabitants were. The man was named 'Paul' and from inferences, I gathered that he was some kind of warrior or knight of sorts. His wife 'Zenith' seemed to be a retired warrior/healer though I could not ascertain why and the housekeeper ‘Lilia' was a former sword woman. From the almost unnoticeable limp, she was likely injured in a fight and retired to become a maid
