Chapter nine

This time when i woke up for school i didnt try as hard to make my fashion choices...the best. I mean i have a killer hangover and dont remember half of the things I did. What I do remember though, is not good. The fact that Miller ditched me, at my first school party, and then sent someone over to babysit me? Yea, you could say I am pissed.

I decided to just put on some light-wash skinny jeans and Derek's baggy Coldplay sweatshirt. I guess I was sober enough to remember that. I picked up my sunglasses and slipped them onto my face while walking towards the kitchen.

"Good morning beautiful." A familiar husky voice said. I looked over at Miller and took in his appearance. He was looking hotter than ever, and also had on a pair of sunglasses. But then a little voice reminded me I was mad at him.

I stayed looking at the ground as he walked over to me and pulled me into a hug. He tilted my chin up so my eyes met his and started leaning into a kiss. I turned my head to the side before his lips could meet mine.

"Why did you send Derek to babysit me?" I whispered shyly. I didn't want to take all of my anger out on him. Maybe he had a good reason?

"Because I didn't want you to be alone." He said while pulling back so he could look into my eyes. I felt my heart crumble a little bit as he gave me the answer I knew was coming.

"then why didn't you just stay with me?" I said a little louder this time. I could feel the anger starting to simmer down, knowing that inleast he wanted me to be safe.

"I had some business to take care of." He said sternly.

"And what buisness would that be?" I said equally stern.

"Thats a secret." he said mysteriously.

"Now let's go." he mumbled while handing me a gronola bar and a sunny-d and pulling me out the door.

"Taylor wait!" Drew shouted from the inside of the house.

I started to walk a little faster, hoping that miller would get that I don't want to talk to him. Of coarse I don't know if Miller even wants me to talk to him.

"Taylor please! She wasn't my girlfriend!"

I stopped dead in my tracks and turned around so fast that I might of gotten whiplash.

"Taylor don't listen to him. Let's go." Miller said tugging at my hand.

"Taylor, that chick has been obsessed with me ever since I danced with her at one party. ONE freaking party! I have absolutely no feelings for her at all. Only for you. Oh! And Miller last night at the party! He was.." But Drew's sentence was cut short when Millers fist collided with Drew's beautiful face.

"MILLER! What the hell?" I screeched, feeling the tears brimming my eyes. But before Miller could respond my phone started ringing. I didn't take any move to answer it. I just let a few rogue tears escape my eyes and headed out the front door. I noticed everyone else was already in the truck so I figured I could just get a ride with them. I climbed into the truck and slammed the door.

"Miller and Drew aren't coming." I said trying to hide my tears.

"Um Taylor? Are you going to answer that?" Christian said with a worried look on his face.
