chapter 6

I am having a panic attack. Today is the first day of school and I am BEYOND nervous. After trying on 13 other outfits, I decided on some denim ripped shorts and a pink lace tank top with studs on the shoulders. I brushed through my naturally brown wavy hair and put on some natural looking makeup. I had to skip breakfast since I woke up 15 minutes late. When i got to the door I noticed everyone was already in the trucks so I rushed out and began to get into the car.

"AHH!" I croaked when I felt a pair of hands on my waist that lifted me back out of the truck and onto the pavement. "What the heck?"

"Your riding with me." Drew said mysteriously as he just walked away towards his motor cycle.

I raised my eyebrows."On that metal death trap?" I questioned.

"Oh come on, don't be so cliche." He gave me a pointed look before handing me a helmet.

"I'm not being cliche, your just being an ass." I mumbled while slipping the helmet on my head. "Umm its to big." I said coldly. He slowly walked towards me and even though the helmet was blacked out were his eyes would be, I could still feel them raking over my body. I was expecting anger to flood through me or something but it almost felt..natural. I felt my heart race quicken as he slowly brushed all of my hair to one side, letting his hands linger a little longer than they should have. After adjusting the helmet we just stood there, looking at where we thought each others eyes would be. But of coarse the moment had to be ruined and someone from the car cleared there throat and brought me back to reality.

"Umm we should go." I mumbled shyly while hearing some wolf whistles and snickering going on in the background.

"yea. sure." he said never letting his eyes leave my face. the car pulled out of the driveway and I started to walk towards the motorcycle. After many failed attempts to get onto the giant piece of metal Drew finally spoke up.

"Need some help?" I could practically hear the smirk on his face. I nodded slowly letting his hands grab me on my waist and lift me up and onto the motorcycle.

"Thanks." I whispered breathlessly.

"Anytime beauty." I blushed remembering the nickname he had given me earlier when we first met.

The ride there wasn't that bad. I actually enjoyed it. Dang, he was right. I am cliche. After arriving at the school I didn't even have to ask Drew for help he just automatically grabbed my waist and lifted me off. I blushed and thought of how intimate that actually was and how we were doing it in public.

"Don't worry, no one saw." He whispered in my ear letting his hands slip off of my waist. He then proceeded to take my helmet off for me and place it on the motorcycle. "I'm going to bring you to the office and have them give you your schedule and help you get to your locker and classes." He mumbled slowly almost if he felt unsure of something.

"okay" i said lowly thinking of how protective he was being. It was kind of sweet. When we started walking we were standing quite close actually. I could feel his pinkie finger brush up against mine and it gave me this electric feeling that maybe he actually did care.

"Hey! Drew!" Said a group of boys shouting and waving at Drew trying to get him to come over. I nudged him on the shoulder and pointed towards them. A smile crept onto his face when he saw them and then turned to face me while whispering in my ear, "Stay here. These guys are my friends and if i bring you over there and introduce you to them, they will probably never let me live down the day I get rejected by you." He said while peering up at me through his long lashes. I mentally scoffed while grabbing his hand and walking over to them.
