"How many have you had so far?"

"Huh?" Amanda looked at me instead of the window.

"How many master have you had so far?" She looked away thoughtfully and began to count on her fingers.

"Nine." She showed me her both hand. "You are the Tenth." I frowned.

"I thought there were more." I mumbled.

"Maybe they can't read the subtitle." She shrugged and looked out again.

"What happened with them?" She smiled.

"You ask too much don't you think?" Ashamed, I bowed my head. "In vain were they from a royal family and rich, yet they wanted much. As you already know, even a tiny wish that means nothing causes a huge fuss. A very bad thing happened to some kings." She closed her eye and shook her head and looked at me with a smile. I thought of this as a warning, and I nodded. "Tell!"

"Hm?" I looked at her in confusion.

"I see you still have questions." I looked at my clasped hands in confusion.

"Do you think... I'm a good master?" I didn't look at her.

"Is this so important?" I shrugged. "You're pretty slow compared to the others." I looked at her in confusion. "The others had already asked me for something in two days or less. I didn't really know them. You are different."

"Is this bad?" I looked at my clasped hands again.

"I don't think so." I heard her closer and I looked up. "Although you're pretty boring." Dramatically, she put her hand on her forehead and leaned on the bed. I rolled my eyes and I hit her shoulder softly. She caught my wrist, pulled me on her chest then hugged me tightly. At first, I started to tremble at what she was going to do now, but then I calmed down to hear her heart beat. I'm really crazy.

"Why are you doing this?" I asked.

"Doing what Liz?" I love the way she says my name. The cold shook me off as she began to draw a circle on my back. "I'm not doing anything. Although it costs you a word. You know I am a genie." After saying this, I sat up offended and went to the fridge to eat something.

"What's up?" She asked.

"Leave me alone!" I said grumbling. I sat down and she appeared in front of me.

"I'm sorry. I can't talk you like that." She said filtered between her teeth and gripping her wrists and she seemed to be in pain. There she knelt beside me, leaning toward the floor.

"Are you okay?" I stood up and I knelled down to her. "I'm not angry at you." I grabbed her wrists with two bracelets on it. Her rapid breathing began to slow. I hugged her. "I did this?" I asked, put her chin facing me, but she didn't look at me. She nodded slowly and a tear rolled down her eyes. I wiped away her tears and kissed her forehead, she looked at me.

"I'm so sorry." I whispered. She shook her head with a sad smile.

"You are my master it was my fault." She said in a slightly trembling voice. I shook my head.

"Are you alright?" She nodded. "Ok." I took a breath. "What happened then?" I asked in a fear after about fifteen minutes in my bedroom.

"I was disobedient. This has never happened before."

"You weren't." I said in a slightly raised voice.

"Your anger feelings extended to me through the bracelets. You were angry. I'm sorry."

"Stop say sorry please. Can't you take those bracelets off?" I looked at the thick gold ornate bracelets. She shook her head.

"They are like handcuffs. They are connected to the user, but mainly to the lamp."

The next few days, Amanda didn't really show up, which made me sad. I felt guilty for doing this. I kept thinking of stupid little simple wishes so I could ease her situation, but I rejected that idea. I looked at the lantern from my bed. I stood up and rubbed the lamp. The purple and white mist appeared, and Amanda looked down at me with a false smile.

"What do you...?" Before she could finish her question, I hugged her waist and drilled my head into her chest. I need this hug. Her hug. No one has ever really hugged me before. She didn't really move until after a while. Her hand touched my back and she really hugged me, and she put her chin on my head for a moment. Then we let go of each other.

"Don't disappear, please." She raised an eyebrow silently. "I need you." She looked away and nodded.
