Chapter one.

Death's POV

i see you!

Drip.

Drop.

Drip.

Drop.

BANG!

TAPTAPTAPTAP!

CLASH!

They entered my world in a flurry of fast movements.

A blinding light illuminates the room.

I curl up in a ball in the corner of my world trying to block out this new sensation.

'CHECK THE BASEMENT. THEY RAN DOWN IN THE BASEMENT!'

New voices yelled.

CLASH! BANG!

TAPTAPTAPTAPTAPTAPTAP!

More things entered my world.

Too many.

Only three things exist in my world, yet i hear so many sounds.

Sounds of fighting .

Sounds of metal scraping metal.

Then they're gone.

Back up to where my world doesn't reach.

But someone is still there someone here. Someone not many.

The light recedes with a faint CLICK.

'Shit it's so dark.' It muttered.

I opened my eyes and observed this new creature.

It was a male in a blue protective skin. With metal objects lining it waist and black foot coverings.

It tried to blind me once more but the object didn't comply.

It sighed, long and hard.

'I see you.' I whispered.

It gasped and backed up to the exit of my world.

'No don't leave.' I said out loud.

Suddenly numerous flashes of light go off. Startling me, i crawled back to my corner as the light didn't seem to want to stop.

'JESUS CHRIST! LITTLE GIRL ARE YOU OKAY? HEY GUYS DOWN HERE there's A KID DOWN HERE!' he yelled.

TAPTAPTAPTAPTAPTAPTAPTAP!

More persons came into the room each matching the first one.

One of them tried to touch me but i quickly scurried away.

'Too many, too many.' I muttered quietly.

A sharp pain in my neck caused me to stop.

A needle.

A needle is in my neck.

Black dots started to fill the my vision.

'NO.'

Police officer's POV

'my god how could someone do that to a little girl.' I wondered as i carried her broken, battered body to the hospital.

They gave her more sleeping medicine before we were told that we should bring her to a mental hospital.

One of the doctors stating that they didn't have the equipment to help her if she woke up in their care.

They bandaged her and sent us on our way.

WOLF LAKE'S HOSPITAL FOR THE MENTALLY INCAPACITATED.

I sighed heavy as i carried her inside.

One of my partners gave the secretary the information she needed.

But all we know of this girl is her age, her gender and the type of parents she had. Oh. And she cant see in light.

She has black hair, brown eyes and her skin is incredibly pale, probably from a lack of sun;light and lets not mention how unbelievly skinny she is.

You can literally count her ribs. Her skin scarred no doubt from all the abuse she been given.

A nurse straps her to a wheelchair before wheeling her away.

'Do you think we did the right thing.' I asked my partner.

'Yes. Its not like we can adopt her' he replied before walking away.
