control. 

it's the one element we all crave but ironically have no hold over. we fight for the ability to change our situations, to allow ourselves to become dictators over that which we do not own. we use the premise that we don't have the power to change the discourse of our lives as a scapegoat, for the fact that we ourselves choose not to solve our own problems. having control allows for a chance to escape that which we may never be able to leave. a false perception that we can alter what is set in stone as reality.
