Mike's number stares at me from the piece of paper and I stick it onto my wall next to my landline before making my way to my bedroom and changing into some more comfortable clothes. Closing my curtains, I climb into my flower print bedsheets, the loud springs squeaking through the entirety of the cheap frame. The covers fall over my head and block out the remaining daylight in my room. This method of blocking out light works surprisingly well; I instantly fall asleep.
I'm running down the office hall of the Pizzeria, the walls are yellow and dimly lit. Covered in grease and dirt, it seems as though the hall goes on forever, but my pace seems to be slowing down. Loud footsteps shake the hall behind me, it's an animatronic.
He calls out and his metal hook scrapes against the rusty wall next to him, the sound is so loud I can barely concentrate. The hall gets darker and longer and the machine gets louder and louder. When I finally dare to look behind me, Foxy's face is in mine. A thousand teeth are displayed in his mouth, and he slashes my face open with his hook, taking my life with it.
I jolt awake, the time reads 3:26 PM on my alarm.
My head is foggy and pounding. I feel faint and dizzy and as I try to stand up I have to grab onto the wall in front of me to steady myself. Slowly but surely, I make my way to my bathroom. My mirror shows my reflection but above my right eyebrow is a massive gash. Theres warm blood trickling down my eye and across my cheek now, I feel sick. I grab a hand towel from the rack and begin washing the cut before sticking a few bandaids that I found under the sink onto the cut. I know it's not the best solution, as the blood instantly soaks through all the bandaids but it'll have to do. I can't afford a hospital trip right now.
To calm myself from the whole ordeal, I decide to give Holly, my best friend a call, I haven't spoken to her in a couple days and we need to catch each other up on life. She picks up almost instantly.
"Gwenny! Where the fuck have you been bitch! I haven't spoken to you in foreverrrrr."
"I know, I'm sorry I've just been all over the place these past couple days."
"Whatever, are we still on for tonight? I'm trying to get myself a maaaaaan."
"Shit! Holly I can't tonight I've got this new job and I only work nights!"
"What! But we go out every Tuesday night! That's our thingggg."
Holly drags her words out when she's upset.
"Holly I'm sorry! Okay I'll make it up to you, what if we go out for coffee in ten? At our favourite place. Then we can catch up and I can tell you about my job and stuff,"
"Oh my god yes! Okay, I'll see you in ten Gwenny!"
"Bye!"
I hang up the phone and trail back into my room to start getting ready. I chose to wear my favourite black dress, along with some black boots and a grey cardigan. My waist length dark hair stays out after I brush through it, the flecks of green peeking through the different layers.
Holly's familiar long red hair catches my eye as I step out of my silver car and walk towards her. She turns around and spots me in the street before I can scare her from behind. Dammit.
"Gwenny!!!"
Holly runs up to me with her arms flailing about and jumps onto me giving me the tightest hug I've ever felt. I quickly feel my tenseness melt away but my bones and head beginning to ache again.
When she releases me from her grasp, her bold makeup and large green statement earrings dangle in the wind. It amazes me every time I see her that someone can be so beautiful and we chat as we walk into the cafe and find a seat.
