"You knew?!"

My voice is loud and full of anger and sorrow as I stand in Mikes darkened doorway. He stands in his hallway in front of me, the yellow walls surrounding him making him seem much smaller than usual. Wide eyed and frozen, my shoulders rise and fall repeatedly as the cool breeze from outside hits my back. I storm into his house and into the kitchen, slamming the book onto the light brown, round dining table as Mike quickly follows behind.

"W-what? Knew what...?"

Micheal's voice trails off, and the colour in his face drains instantly as I move out of the way to reveal the leather book. His eyes focus on it and grow even wider. His mouth opens and closes quickly before meeting my gaze again.

"Gwen, no I-."

"William Afton? He's your father?! A-and your name? Micheal Afton?"

I demand loudly, my voice rising with each word. My left palm rests on the grainy table next to me to support my body that feels like it weighs twice as much. I slap my free hand over my mouth and squeeze my eyes shut as hard as I can, trying to supress the waterfall behind them.

"You knew this whole time and didn't tell me?"

My eyes reopen and land on Micheal. He works his jaw as he breaks my gaze. I push myself off the table and put my hands behind my head in a moment of realization before spinning on my heel and pacing through his bright kitchen, the loud colours seeming quite unusual for this dark situation.

"Oh my god, and you acted so surprised when I told you about the kids. And your siblings? Your father did that! All of it! Why didn't you tell me, Mike?"

I come to a strong halt on the other side of the kitchen, the benches, and cabinets a matching light blue. I turn to look at Micheal's frozen figure, a morbid look etched into his face.

"Because I couldn't! There was no point in telling you, Gwen, because once William hired you he wouldn't of left you alone until he killed you! So, the only thing I could do was keep you safe."

Micheal's voice is trembling, almost like is going to break at any moment. I'm filled with fiery rage as I let the gravity of the situation sink in once more.

"Keep me safe? Why didn't you at least warn me!?"

I take a few forceful steps toward Mike, and it almost looks like he shrinks back as I near him.

"How was I supposed to? Would you have really believed me if I told you about the murderous animatronics and my psycho dad on your first day?"

I clench my fists and grit my teeth as I bite back my bitter words.

"No, but you could have told me after I was covered in your sister's blood! I would have believed you then! Or maybe when I did all that research on Freddy's just for you to dismiss it!"

I hiss back at him, my tone dripping in venom. The room falls silent as Mike stares at me, lost for words; my breath remains heavy as my darkened gaze remains on him. Theres a loud gust of wind outside, the cool breeze hitting the white, lacey curtains on his kitchen windows. He takes a step toward me, reaching his arms out.

"Gwendolyn please just listen! I love you!"

I feel my heart break once again knowing that Mike and I could've been something. I look toward the flooring of his kitchen. A tear makes my cheek wet as it slides down, and it feels as if there is an empty pit at the bottom of my stomach. Mikes gaze remains on me, like he's waiting for me to say something, and I look up again to meet his gaze, the anger in me turning into sorrow.

"Do you? Or was that apart of your plan? Make me think you love me so I can love you and put all my trust into you? Because it worked! I love you so much, Mike, so that makes this so much harder."

I take a step forward and feel the flood gates open. My vision becomes blurry, and I feel tears slip down my face, my hands trembling as I shout. Mike meets my eyes again, this time his eyes are full of regret and sorrow, and I can see the shame plastered onto his face. The heavy lump in my throat finally becomes unstuck, and I begin to bawl. My hand covers my red face and I turn my back toward Mike, resting on the blue bench again. I feel Mike step closer to me, then back again before speaking.

"Gwen please, I was going to tell you..."

I quickly spin around and storm toward him, pointing my finger into his face.

"No, you weren't! Do not lie to me!"
