I'm here in Jamaica for christmas break. I've been here since December 1st, trying to get to know my mom and her side of family. My mother has been absent for the full 20 years of my life because my dad said she was an addict. She and my dad had a one night stand and boom, there I was on May 5 . My dad took me 3 months after birth because one morning she was so high she almost drowned me while trying to give me a bath. When in custody trial she was high out of her mind so all she did was stare and laugh. I was hurt growing up without a mom, I'm still hurt but talking to her over the phone for the past year and being here with her I truly believe she's sober now. Her mom, granny Elle, is so funny. We had a one on one talk when I first came and she's the one that got me more open to mending things with my mom, Ann.

I'm glad I took this trip because I just came out of a very abusive relationship, with my ex Jason, in October and he's been stalking me in Miami ever since. We were together for 3 years. I was abused 2 out of those 3 years and I mentally checked out the relationship a year ago. I'm glad I walked away, should have left earlier .I just want to be me, live life, enjoy peace and heal my heart now.
I'm staying at the AC Hotel for the time being and now I'm just about ready to leave. I'm going over Elle's today, they're having a New Year bbq.
